Welp, that was a weird lunch break. I suddenly have a friend now... I feel like I can do anything! This world is for me to conquer! Muahahaha!
Oh, no... Is my chuunibyou personality taking over? I now feel like getting contact lenses and wearing a eye patch...
"Are you Aizawa Aiko?"
I look up. It's one of my classmates. One of the many NPC's like me. Atleast he has friends.
"Yeah, that's me."
"Hiratsuka-sensei is calling for you to come in the teachers room."
Huh? Me? The iron fist is calling for me? Does she want to fight me? Bring it on!
"Ah, okay, understood. Thanks for telling me."
He goes away.
"Hiratsuka-sensei is calling for you? Did you do something bad, Aiko?" - Alya asks with a smile.
"Hmm, maybe she's just angry that she's single in her 20s, never got a boyfriend and wants to take her anger out on me."
She starts giggling.
"Is that so? Maybe I should go with you to protect you."
I don't want to brag, but I know how to fight pretty well. Actually, I want to brag. Maybe she'll be more impressed by me.
"A girl taking the hits of the legendary Iron Fist? I don't think you'll live for another day. I definitely won't live to see another day."
"Maybe, maybe not. You don't know~."
And with that I left the classroom. What I didn't notice was Alya's face suddenly became sad.
"I definitely won't live to see another day, huh..."
----------------------------------------------------------
*knock, knock*
"Come in!"
I opened the door to the teachers room.
There sat Shizuka Hiratsuka in all her glory. A tall woman with long black hair that falls over her shoulders and reaches her calves, Grey eyes and lab coat over her work uniform. 26 years old and still single. How is she still not married, let alone unable to find a husband? This world is weird...
"You aren't thinking anything weird about me right, Aizawa Aiko?" - She said with a smile, that didn't look like a smile.
Who starts a conversation like that?
"Of course not, sensei. I only have positive thoughts about you."
"Oh really? What kind of thoughts of do you have me? Certaintly now those rumors going on where I beat my students or how they called me the legendary "Iron Fist" right?"
So she knows. Damn. I need to to respond carefully or she'll knock me out.
I lightly cough.
"Of course not, everyone knows that Hiratsuka-sensei is incredibly kind, friendly and responsible teacher who is open minded and believes in the future of her students!"
Also very short-tempered, age-sensitive and touchy, not to mention very violent.
"She also wishes and works hard for the welfare of all her students. She cares about all of the students!"
I mean, that is the truth, no lies found in those statements.
"Hm, is that so~"'she responded with a flirtatious smile?
Am I seeing things?
"Anyways, the reason I called you here, is from today onwards, you'll be joining a club called Service club."
A club? No! My worst nightmare?
"I refu-"
"Oh? Sorry, did I say you'll be joining? My mistake. I meant I am forcing you to join." - she said with a smile.
Why are women like this? I quit! You hear me God? I said I quit!
"Can you atleast tell me what the club is about...?"
"You'll have to go there yourself and find out about it."
Hah? How does that work? That's like telling someone to find a needle in a haystack without giving them a magnet. Unbeliavable! The audacity! Why do I have to go all the way over there just to get some basic information?
"I refu-"
"Hm?" - her gaze suddendly sharpens, looking at me. The aura around her suddendly changing.
"...I refuse to refuse your objectively better opinion Hiratsuka-sensei. You do know what's best for a student overall." - I force a smile on my face.
"Mh, mh. Of course, you know me to well. The Service Club is a unused classroom located n the special building of the school. Now, that's all I had to say, you can go now."
Special building? Unused classroom? Did somebody get murdered there?
I turn around and proceed to leave the room.
"Oh and one more thing Aizawa" - she suddendly says
I stop walking and turn my head around.
"Be careful alright?"
Hm?
"...Okay?".
I walk out of the room and close the door behind me.
That was strange... Be careful? Is she worrying about me? Wow! What a great teacher! Even if she is violent, she never forgets to wish her students welfare. And I can't really refuse, she did really help me when I started school, so I am thankful for that.
And she's a woman where my misogynistic tendecies don't kick in immeadiately upon talking to her! Older women all the way!
What I didn't notice, was a worrying emotion shown on her face and her biting her lip.
----------------------------------------------------------
"Is this it?"
I look over at the sign, where it reads "Service club", with stickers on the bottom of the sign. Hm, cute. Even Alya messaged me on my whereabouts. Told her I was going here and she responded that she's on her way. Oh yeah, I forgot, we did exchange contacts after that lunch break. Achievement unlocked.
I knock on the door. I hear a voice from the other side telling to enter. I open the door.
Upon first sighting, chairs and tables are piled up in cluttered stacks along the edge of the rooms and in the middle of it, a long table with some chairs around it. Very simple room, nothing special about it, but I like how it feels, kinda of comfy. I probably would eat here every day if not for the woman sitting in the middle. Bleh. She ruins the atmosphere.
Sitting in the right side of the table, a beautiful teenage girl is seen of average height and slim build. She has fair skin, long black hair that spills over her shoulders and down to her hips, and an ahoge that lays flat atop her head. Adorning her hair are two red ribbons just above each shoulder. Her most striking feature is a pair of large, piercing blue eyes.
"In this world a ugly girl is more rarer than seeing a beatiful one" I thought.
Oh yeah what's up with that? In my past life, I would see maybe 1 or 2 actual genetically beatiful girls without makeup and even then they didn't look like models. But here every corner I go to, there's atleast 2 of them that look like you would see them at airport once and never again.
Anyway, going back to the present. I look at the black-haired girl. She gives off a different vibe from Alya. Where her presence commands respect and admiration from all who cross her path, the girl infront of me seems to have a very cold and unfriendly demeanor. That's how I would describe them. Is that right? Probably not, who knows.
But... Is it just me, but when the girl stared back at me, I think I saw her eyes widen a little bit? And suddendly cat ears appeared on her head, shaking from excitement? Did I isekai into a different type of Japan, where demi people live here? That would of been kind of cool.
The girl just stared back at me with silence, making me uncomfortable.
"...Aiko?" - the girl asked with shocked eyes.
"Oh, did Hiratsuka-sensei already tell you my name? Is this the Service Club by any chance?"
The girl finally broke from her stupor.
"*Cough, Mh, yes it is? You're Aizawa Aiko right? My name is Yukinoshita Yukino. Nice to meet you and welcome to the Service Club." - she said with a smile.
Hm? Yukinoshita Yukino? Is it that famous Ice Queen that i've been hearing about? The one everybody is afraid of? Where In the shadowed halls of Sobu High School, a chill wind blows, and whispers of fear ripple through the student body. For there, atop her frozen throne of ice and disdain, sits the formidable Yukinoshita Yukino, the Ice Empress of Isolation. Clad in a regal, crystalline gown that sparkles with the coldness of a thousand winter nights, her piercing gaze can turn even the bravest souls to stone? That yukino whose heart was betrayed one too many times, and she vowed to never again be vulnerable to the whims of others?
Okay, I'm probably overexaggerating a "bit".
"Yukinoshita Yukino? The Ice Empress of Sobu High School?" - I respond.
Ah crap it's acting again. She'll probably be weirded out.
She giggles and with a beatiful smile on her face says:
"Well technically you're not wrong, but the rumors about me are a bit overexaggerated. Don't listen to them too much."
...This is a bit different that i expected. I thought she would cast a ice spell on me and I would freeze to death. Or maybe a flying kick to my face if she is athletic enough. But it seems she's acting all warmly towards me and even smiling genuinely. Maybe she's S+ actress and I don't know about it.
"So can you tell me what's the purpose of the Service Club? I suddendly got forced by sensei to come here and I don't even know what is happening."
"Sure. The Service club sometimes known as the Volunteers Club, is a group of volunteer students meant to help their peers overcome any problems they might have. It acts as a consulting service where students can seek advice and assistance for various issues they face, ranging from personal dilemmas to social conflicts"
"Hm? Volunteers Club? If it's a "Volunteers" Club why did I get forced to join?"
"Who knows~" - she giggles with enthusiasm and with a suspicious smile on her face.
Suspicious. Very suspicious. Like I thought, somebody will die here today and it won't be me. I will fight with everything I have, remember that! Bring it on Ice Empress!
"Oh and another thing. We do have another club member, but she'll join later."
Hm? Another club member, hope it's a guy... Girls are too scary.
"And it's a girl" - she responds with eyes closed and a scary smile on her face.
Is she a mind reader too!?
Suddendly the door opened. Alya's here.
"White oni?" - I said.
She entered the room with a elegant yet scary face. How is that possible to be this beatiful?
She suddendly looked at Yukinoshita with the same facial expression. Yukino looked back, reverting back to her cold persona, not afraid of her gaze, staring right back at her with full maximum intesity. Suddendly I felt like the room turned cold. How is that possible? Were still in summer. Maybe the aura from these 2 women are so powerful that the world itself is afraid of talking back.
Am I in a Chinese novel by any chance? That's even scarier.
