Chapter 2 - REINCARNATION TO THE UNKNOWN

When I closed my eyes, I saw someone—an unknown entity. He stared at me, and I stared back. As he came closer, his form became more and more revealed, but I couldn't see his face; it was as if it was blocked by some force beyond imagination. The attire he was wearing was a dark, long jacket with deadly claw and blood designs in his cloth.

He stared at me. I was just confused, looking at him. Before he spoke, he flipped a coin. The coin landed in his palm, the side facing him was heads. Then he spoke to me. "Lukehorn, you have been neglected by the so-called races you longed for. Believe me, I was like you, too. I was neglected and toyed with, but I became their superior. I destroyed the so-called races I longed for."

Then I saw a tattoo on his neck. It showed a handsome, long-haired man who was pierced through by spears altogether.

"I became death," he continued. "They called me Calamity, the God of Death, the enforcer of the netherworld. When I saw you, I decided you would be a better fit for my powers. But just know this: you have to earn them with blood. Now, depart!"

I felt like I was being sent away through deadly portals. I felt my limbs fail. I just couldn't understand what was going on. Well, that's until I opened my eyes. I saw myself in an alley. A boy now stared at me; he called me Kael. I touched my head because I couldn't understand what was going on.

"Hi," he said to me. "My name is Desa. We both are street rats, so we need to run out of here."

At that moment, some men came. The outfit they were wearing seemed like patrollers. One of them shouted, "Hey, rats! What are you doing here? Get the fuck out of here! Your home is the garbage. I don't want any of you to stain my city."

Then they all ran towards us. For some reason, I got annoyed at his statement, so while Desa ran away, I stood my ground. The men spoke amongst themselves, saying, "Oh, it seems we have a brat who doesn't know his place. Let's teach him a lesson." They cracked their knuckles.

I then ran towards them. I charged, my fists aimed at them. I almost landed a blow when one man grabbed my arm and broke it. I screamed in pain. For some reason, the men derived pleasure from it as they jeered and smiled. He then lunged with his fists, giving me a terrible blow to the face. I felt numb. Maybe it was because of the overwhelming pain I felt, but either way, I was reminded once again of how helpless I am. I ain't any MC of any story; I'm just a useless side character who got abused inhumanly. I am someone who is useless. I don't know what's going on with me, but I wanted to change that.

So I clenched my teeth tightly and rushed towards him. The man laughed as he said, "Oh, he still wants to fight? I'll remind him once again of how low he is." He waited for me while he charged his fists. He then infused some kind of energy I can't explain. This doesn't seem like the world I once knew. Could it be that I am in a different world? I thought, but it was short-lived as I soon gasped for air. As I looked down, blood spewed from my stomach. It was grueling, and I was in pain.

Maybe because of the intense beatings, at that moment, I saw something. My eyes shone red. In that moment, I zoomed past the men. After that, their heads were instantly separated from their necks. As their lifeless bodies fell, their heads rolled, and they saw me. They seemed terrified of me. To be honest, I don't even know… It didn't seem like I was controlling my body. It was as if I was being controlled. But I can't stop now. I then looked at my hands, which were covered and dripping in blood.

But it was short-lived, as I now felt intense pain. It was as if I was being shocked by so many high-voltage electric currents. I stopped. I couldn't move. I tried to raise my hand, but it didn't respond. It was as if my body had a mind of its own. My eyes began to close. I tried to force them to not shut, but my body doesn't take orders from me anymore. Wow, what a welcome I've received for entering this world. Ahhhh!

At the scene, the first officer told Gryto to restrain him. Gryto replied, "Yes, Commander. I used my magic powers to shock him till he fainted."

"Commander Gryto," the commander said. "Yes, sir?" Gryto replied. "I think you don't deserve this job. You are the most stupid and dumbest person I have seen in my years of experience as an officer." "What did I do, sir?" Gryto asked. The commander now replied, "It seems you have forgotten the first rule of the corps." "No sir, I haven't forgotten," Gryto replied. "Oh, so you haven't forgotten, huh?" the commander asked. "Then tell me." "Sir, yes sir," Gryto said. "The first rule of the corps is to never, by any means, use violent magic to injure someone to the point of death." "Oh, so you know that?" the commander asked. "Then why do you keep injuring possible victims?" "I'm sorry, sir," Gryto said. "Oh, well," the commander replied, "I'm tired. Get out of my sight." "Yes, sir," Gryto said before he walked away.

The commander now said, "Now, what do we have here?" as he stared at the fainted Kael. He then touched Kael's right wrist to check his pulse. "Hmm, so he is still breathing. What a strong brat we have here. Oh well, I think I'll see him in the interrogation office. Boys," he said. "Yes, sir!" they all replied. "Clear the area and bring the decapitated bodies. We will host a grand burial for them." Then he left.

Introduction to the Fantasy Realm

The Gods Firstly, we have gods. They are entities who surpass all beings, and there are two origin gods.

We have:

The Goddess of LightThe God of Darkness

They are the Primordial Gods. They were born with the creation of the universe. The Goddess of Light was formed by a high concentration of positive energy from the creation of the universe. The remnant energy was negative energy. Over time, the concentration of these energies increased, and a sphere of energy was formed. Time passed, and the sphere cracked, then broke. Emerging out was the Goddess of Light and the God of Darkness. Although they too don't know how they were created, that leaves room for another question: what about Time? Why isn't he among the Primordial Gods? Let's just say he is way off their league. The God of Time is a god who was born out of the very existence of the concept of reality, so he shatters the concept of "primordial." There is no other word to describe him. I'll leave it here.

From the Goddess of Light, other gods and goddesses were born:

God of the SunGoddess of LifeGoddess of NatureGod of WealthGoddess of SeasonsGod of Birth and ReincarnationGod of FireGoddess of WaterGod of SoundGod of Wisdom and IntelligenceGoddess of Wind

(Other gods will be introduced later in the story.)

From the God of Darkness:

Goddess of DeathGod of ShadowsGoddess of the MoonGoddess of DisastersGod of GluttonyGod of GreedGod of RageGod of the UnderworldGod of DeceitGod of Fear and Terror

(Other Gods and Goddesses will be introduced later in the story.)

The Origin of the World The Goddess of Life, following the orders of the Goddess of Light, together with the Goddess of Nature, brought life to an empty and disastrous world. After the Goddess of Life and Nature did their job, the Goddess of Seasons took over, setting up a pattern for the world to follow, which was summer, winter, autumn, and spring. After that, the world was peaceful for a while.

Magic wasn't yet given to any races until a calamity happened. Now, that calamity was caused by the God of Darkness. He wanted to wage war on the world because the Goddess of Light took the world he was originally ruling. (Flashback: when they first met, the world was in a disastrous state. It was actually the God of Darkness and his subordinates ruling the world at that time.) In summary, the God of Darkness originally wanted to turn the world back to its former state.

The Goddess of Light knew that she couldn't interfere and the God of Darkness was already making his move. So, out of necessity, she created the God of Magic. She poured every power of each god that wasn't supporting the God of Darkness into him. In short, the God of Magic appeared to the world and, unleashing his power like a storm, sent every bit of magic to every race—even animals, beastmen, elves, orcs, humans, and so on. The magic wasn't like a lottery; the God of Magic's power analyzed the host it was going to and then determined the type of magic they would be given, mainly based on characteristics like their emotions, resolve, determination, and quality.

After the great power that the God of Magic gave to all races, it paved the way for the main gods to momentarily reveal themselves. After that, it went on smoothly. The God of Darkness and his subordinates were pushed back and ultimately banished from the world. After the war, the gods decided to call the world "Liberia" because it was freed from its shackles. And so, Liberia was born, and statues of the gods were erected in their favor. It is said that sometimes the gods enter their respective statues, though it is rare. Now, that about covers the origin story of the fantasy realm. Other pieces of the long-unsolved puzzles will be introduced as the story goes on.

Meanwhile, in the Cell

"Throw the trash in," the warden said. "I'm tired of him. I don't want his dust on me."

Kael, who had fainted, was dreaming. He got transported to the plane where his mom and dad, Claire and Elven (that's their name, by the way), were. Claire told little Lukehorn, "When we get to Russia, we'll eat all the dessert you can eat."

Elven laughed as he said, "You're spoiling him too much. He won't be a man if you keep spoiling him this much."

Kael, who saw the moment, asked himself about that feeling. "Mom, Dad, I failed you. If only I had known, I wouldn't have done this to you." As he saw the plane explode mid-air, he became annoyed. "I'll kill them. I'll kill them all—those humans or anyone in my way. I'll become so strong to the extent I'll be feared. I'll be the terror that wakes children every night. I'll be the villain... no, scratch that. I'll be the final, unbeatable Boss."
