Chapter 3 - chapter 3

Another day has dawned.

I sit upon that small couch with quiet pride,

my gaze lifted drawn toward the one who captured my heart.

My eyes pierce through her, absorbing the details I once fell for.

You became my passion the very day I became yours.

Years passed, and I remained by your side,

while pain whispered to me,

Why can't you see me?

I sit beside her, claiming my place in her corner,as she turns the pages between her fingers.

I play with strands of her hair while she reads.

Dark tales enchant her,an aura of cold surrounds her.

Her details mirror mine.

And mine, hers.

Worlds kept us apart

but loneliness brought us together.

Years went by,and the pain still wraps around me.

Why can't you see me?

Weren't you supposed to love me?

Moments pass before she rises from her seat, walking toward her wardrobe,

slipping on her coat...

She wanders through those shadowed alleyways, while I follow close behind,

listening to the rumble of her stomach.

She mutters to herself with frustration, voice barely audible

"Damn it. Why now? Why did I forget to buy any food?

Ugh, shut up already! Damn it!"

A quiet chuckle escapes me

as she glances at her watch and hurries toward the store.

I wait for her outside...

..Kira..

I wander through the streets,

eyes lifted to the stars scattered beside that pale, full moon,

the sound of raindrops echoing as they fall

and draw me into one of the darker alleyways.

There I spot someone, head bowed against the wall,

his thick black hair drenched.

I call out to him

"Arios, you bastard what the hell are you doing here!?"

..Arios..

I run my fingers through my pitch-black hair, pushing it back,

my eyes burning with rage.

It's raining.

Now. Of all times.

Why is our luck so cursed?

I hear that rough voice call me

who else but that idiot?

He waves at me. I ignore him.

Moments later, he's right beside me,

resting his hand on my shoulder.

I snap

"What do I look like to you? A support beam!? Get off me!"

He replies with an exaggerated groan,

"You've got broad shoulders. Perfect for leaning on."

I roll my eyes in exasperation.

He follows up

"So what brings you here?"

"None of your business, idiot."

Then, with a sly grin as he peers into the store

"Ah, so you came with Mia?"

He bursts into maniacal laughter.

"What a hopeless romantic!"

My eyes flare,

"Shut up before I kill you!"

Before he can reply,

Mia storms out of the store,

her expression dark with frustration.

"Damn it all!" she yells.

"This is why I hate going out crowds, people, the rain... Everything's annoying. Damn it. DAMN IT."

She walks off,her face still locked in a scowl.

Kira mutters,

"Who the hell is that guy?"

I tear my gaze away from Mia

and notice the strange man staring at her.

"Well, well... what do we have here tonight?"

the stranger slurs, approaching with slow, arrogant steps,a bottle of cheap liquor in hand.

Mia replies, coolly,

"You're fine."

He grins,

"Looks like we're in for one hell of a night, aren't we?"

She responds smoothly,

"Yeah... sounds like fun."

He steps closer,

but she suddenly grabs his hand, twisting it behind his back, her other hand grabbing his head and slamming it against the wall

his body collapsing.

She mounts him, fists raining down with brutal force, screaming through maniacal laughter

"You disgusting bastard did you really think I'd like that!?"

She stands, brushing herself off as if nothing happened,

and continues walking, her expression unreadable and cold.

Kira stares in shock,

"Did she just kill him!?"

"I doubt it."

"What if he wakes up?"

"I'll burn him once Mia gets home before he even has the chance."

Kira grins with delight,

"No need. I'll do it now. Catch you tomorrow!"

"Whatever."

I'll burn the corpses of anyone who dares come near her.
