The wind whispered through the morning bamboo.
Then came a crash.
A black panther landed in the heart of the Valley of Peace with feline grace, crouched on all fours. His fur shimmered like obsidian under the rising sun, muscles taut beneath his sleek coat. He rose to his full height, towering over the townsfolk. Wrapped in a violet martial sash and tan pants tied with a yellow cloth, he looked more monk than monster.
But it was his green eyes that held everyone—sharp, alive, and smiling.
He straightened, dusted off his shoulder, and murmured, "Stuck the landing."
The villagers didn't move. A carrot hit the ground somewhere behind him.
Po, sitting at his father's noodle cart mid-dumpling, blinked. "Whoa…"
A child whispered, "It's a panther…"
Raion turned toward the dumpling-loving panda. "You must be Po."
"Huh? Wha—yeah! That's me." Po pointed at himself, dumpling forgotten. "You… know me?"
Raion gave him a confident, easy grin. "Who doesn't know the Dragon Warrior?"
From the rooftops, a flurry of movement. Five shadows descended, flanked by a small, robed red panda.
"Stand back!" Master Shifu commanded. "Who are you, stranger?"
Raion held up both paws—non-threatening. "Name's Raion. Martial artist. Traveler. And dumpling enthusiast."
The Furious Five surrounded him cautiously. Tigress moved first, stepping forward with her arms crossed.
"You dropped out of the sky," she said.
"Technically," Raion replied, "I jumped off a cliff. Big difference."
Monkey snorted.
Shifu narrowed his eyes. "Why are you here?"
Raion's voice was light, but steady. "I've come to train. Not to cause trouble. Unless… this is the kind of place that prefers fists first and questions later?"
Tigress stiffened slightly. "You're confident."
"I'm focused." He smiled. "There's a difference."
Shifu studied him. "Then prove your intent. One minute. Spar with Tigress. Show us your strength."
Raion stretched his arms behind his back with a soft pop. "Only one minute? You're making it easy."

🥋 Jade Palace Courtyard – Later
The wind stilled.
Raion stood barefoot on the stone tiles, his green eyes focused but full of energy. His tail flicked once, his arms loose at his sides. Across from him, Tigress stood still as stone, fists up and poised.
Po watched nervously from the steps. "I give him ten seconds."
Monkey grinned. "I give him five."
"Begin," Shifu ordered.
Tigress lunged forward with precision strikes.
Raion moved fast—faster than any of them expected. He weaved through her attacks, his feet light, flowing like water. He dipped low into a grounded stance, then spun away from a powerful palm thrust.

Raion kept his footwork tight. When he stepped forward, the tiles beneath his paws cracked slightly.
Shifu's gaze sharpened. Earthbending…?

Raion's hands remained open. His voice calm. "You're strong. Focused. And better than me—today."
He ducked another punch, rolled past her shoulder, and touched a paw to the stone.

Tigress stepped back, panting lightly. Raion bowed first.
"You moved like someone who's already trained at the palace," she said.
He grinned. "Maybe in a dream."

Raion sat beneath the peach tree, tail curled around his feet. Po flopped beside him, holding a bowl of noodles.
"So… you bend earth, huh?" Po asked.
Raion looked out over the valley. "Sometimes. Depends how the ground feels."
"That's so cool," Po mumbled, slurping loudly. "And you're fast, and you can heal? Like—really heal?"
Raion just smiled.
"Where'd you even learn all that?"
There was a pause.
Then Raion said quietly, "Let's just say I've had time."
Po leaned back. "Well, I'm glad you dropped in. Everyone here's so serious. You're… different."
Raion looked over with a crooked grin. "Different's good, right?"
Po raised his bowl. "Here's to different."
