Cherreads

Chapter 20 - Chapter 20 – The Queen of the Top with Legendary Skin.

In the gigantic game room, Luna was back in her digital temple.

She adjusted the headset and leaned back, looking at the statistics in the corner of the screen. It was already her tenth match since she climbed to Diamond 1, and if she were in her old college body, her fingers would be sore, her shoulders stiff, and her mood in hell.

But now? She was just relaxed. Like she was playing Minesweeper with wine in hand.

On the loading screen, she read the team names. "Look at the nick: 'SugarVoid'... how cute. Must be a streamer."

And she was indeed.

On the other side of the screen, the streamer in question, called SugarVoid, had more than 150 thousand people watching her live stream. Her channel was famous for playing with style and commenting on the lives of random players with sharp humor and lots of mental fanfic.

But what SugarVoid saw in that match... was not something she was prepared for.

"Ladies and gentlemen of the Void, we have a Lux who is—... OH MY GOD, DID YOU SEE THAT Q PREDICTION?" SugarVoid yelled on live. "It's the third kill in a row without flash, without ult, WITHOUT FEAR! Guys, she's going to solo the jungle now! LOOK AT THAT ULT!!!"

The chat exploded. "WHO IS THIS LUX???" "She's not smurfing, she's dominating the whole game!" "She predicts the enemy's steps like she has the map in her head!"

In Luna's room, the queen crossed her legs elegantly, clicking with the same calm as someone choosing sushi on a premium tray.

"Mid diff. Again." she murmured with a mischievous smile.

After the match, which lasted 17 minutes with enemy surrender, SugarVoid said. "I... need to play with that Lux again. Whoever is in the chat, send invite please. I'll beg on mic if I have to."

Ping. Invite sent. Invite accepted.

Soon, a group invite appeared in the corner of the screen.

Luna clicked.

The group voice call opened.

SugarVoid took a deep breath. "Hello... is it... you... the Lux…?" her voice trembled slightly.

On the other side, Luna's voice appeared, pure as crystal and with a melodious tone that seemed carved by elf bards. "It's me. But you can call me Luna."

The stream chat collapsed. "WHO IS THIS GODDESS??" "OH MY GOD, THAT VOICE!!!" "I'M MARRYING HER RIGHT NOW!!!" "SHE SPEAKS AND I BECOME JUNGLE FOR HER." "I DON'T KNOW IF SHE'S REAL, BUT I WANT TO BE HER PET."

SugarVoid coughed, trying to keep professional. "Luna… how long have you played? Because… that was…"

"Years. But only now my brain decided to work properly." said Luna, honest and laughing. "Wanted to relax today, but these challengers are way too confident, so I decided to remind them who rules mid."

SugarVoid gave a nervous laugh, enchanted. "Wanna play another?"

"Sure. But if I carry, you pay for dinner."

SugarVoid laughed and answered with playful sarcasm. "If you carry like that last game, I pay for the wedding."

The chat exploded with "SHIP SHIP SHIP".

Luna blinked at the monitor, adjusting her hair. "Hope you like white dresses."

Hours later...

Luna adjusted her chair, reclining slightly as she opened the champion selection screen.

She had spent the last hours playing Lux, her main since college days, but something inside her was craving novelty. Maybe it was the heat of competitive adrenaline or just the typical desire of someone who has everything, including all the legendary LoL skins.

"Let's see what beautiful things we have here…" she murmured, sliding the mouse with precision.

The League of Legends interface looked more vivid on her 50-inch ultra-wide curved monitor, especially with the almost hypnotic refresh rate. The visuals moved with almost unreal fluidity.

"Hmm… Seraphine K/DA All Out? Or Ahri Spirit Blossom? The aesthetics are on point."

She clicked Seraphine and equipped the skin. The champion's theme music filled her gaming room, a true tech studio with cinema-quality acoustics, LED panels on the ceiling, and ambient lighting reacting to the match's intensity.

As the queue matched, Ivy appeared as a floating hologram in the corner of the screen. "Your online reputation as LadyTycoon is starting to attract attention. Recent matches already accumulate clips on forums and legendary play compilations."

"Let them post," Luna replied, smiling mischievously.

Match found.

Upon entering the game, Luna soon realized she was on a team with a player named "KiNekoChan" playing Janna. A classic support. But there was something different: the girl spoke loudly on voice chat, laughing and commenting on her build live.

"Hey guys, I'm live on NekoPlay! If you play well, I'll put you on TikTok later," said the cheerful voice with a soft and excited American accent.

Luna did not answer immediately. She was finishing buying starting items. But it didn't take long for KiNekoChan to notice.

"LadyTycoon? Your nick is so classy! I loved that Seraphine skin. You play well?"

Luna smiled and activated the mic. Her voice came out like a sweet melody. "Hmm… maybe."

"Whoa! That voice! Guys, did you hear that?" KiNekoChan laughed. "Angel voice! If she plays like she sings, this will be the game of the century!"

The live chat went crazy.

[CHAT] "OMG what voice is that?" "MARRY ME, LadyTycoon!" "Streamer with a princess's voice and now a player with a goddess's voice?"

Luna, who until then just wanted to test the champion, was now excited. There was something pure and fun in that streamer's energy: it reminded her of simpler times, before the billions.

The match started.

Luna played with the precision of a surgeon and the fluidity of an artist. She positioned every Seraphine skillshot as if she predicted the enemy's steps before they even clicked. KiNekoChan was amazed by every play.

"OH MY GOD! LadyTycoon, you predicted his Flash before he pressed it!"

"Habit," Luna replied, laughing. "But I can teach you. Janna's secret is positioning with purpose. Anticipate engages. Feel the dance, don't react, lead."

KiNekoChan almost fell off her chair. "That phrase deserves to be tattooed on the keyboard. Guys, did you hear THAT?"

[CHAT] "Positioning with purpose. I'M TATTOOING THAT." "She's a philosopher too, my God." "This woman is the real Ahri smurf."

The match continued at a crazy pace.

Luna played like she was in a world final.

And the most impressive? She was having fun. Every trade, every spell, every kill… it was as if the world dissolved into shining pixels.

When the victory screen exploded, KiNekoChan screamed. "We won! LadyTycoon, please tell me you'll play another with me! I've never had this much fun!"

"Sure. But only if you tell me your channel's name. I want to see you in action," Luna replied, curious.

"Ah! I'm on NekoPlay, Twitch and StreamLive, and my real name is Keiko! Guys, LadyTycoon is going to watch me! I'm gonna die!"

Luna clicked quickly and joined the live. The screen already showed the chat exploding. She typed a simple message:

LadyTycoon: Loved playing with you. Accept this gift.

And pressed a discreet button on the screen's side panel. A command activated an instant donation transfer.

Amount: $10,000,000.00 USD.

The alert sounded loudly on the streamer's screen.

[DONATION: $10,000,000 from LadyTycoon]

Keiko froze. Literally. She didn't breathe for five seconds.

"...is this... a joke? Is this... fake?" she whispered, voice trembling.

[CHAT] "IS THIS REAL? 10 MILLION?" "SHE DONATED 10 MILLION. I'M FAINTING." "SOMEONE SCREENSHOT THIS NOW. THIS LIVE MADE HISTORY."

Keiko put her hands on her face, eyes watering. "LadyTycoon… this... this... I don't know what to say..."

Luna, on the other side, just smiled. "Say 'gg'. And keep having fun. You have talent, Keiko. Just needed a push."

The streamer cried live. "GG... ETERNAL GG! I'M GOING TO HELP MY MOM, I'M GOING TO HELP THE HOUSE, I'M GOING TO... THANK YOU!"

On the screen, the chat exploded with heart emojis, messages of love, admiration, and disbelief.

[CHAT] "SHE'S THE GREATEST OF ALL. LadyTycoon IS AN ANGEL." "SHE CHANGED SOMEONE'S LIFE LIKE THAT…" "10 MILLION! IT'S OFFICIAL!"

Luna closed the stream with a light heart, eyes shining and a sincere smile. "Sometimes… it's good to do something just because."

The Tycoon system flashed a silent hologram:

[Hidden Mission Completed: Authentic Altruism]

Bonus reward: Global Digital Influence.

But Luna didn't even look at the pop-up, stretching her arms and letting out a long yawn while waiting for the next match's matchmaking.

The monitor displayed a countdown.

She shrugged slightly, still smiling at the commotion she caused with the millionaire donation to streamer Keiko.

But of course, LoL is a temperamental game.

And the universe seemed ready to remind her of that.

"You have been assigned: SUPPORT."

"Seriously?" she muttered with a grimace, leaning back in the memory foam padded gaming chair. "Support again?! I already did my altruism quota today, universe! Where's my comfort lane?"

With a resigned huff, she rolled her eyes and clicked on Nami, the charming support mermaid. "If I have to carry, it will be with bubbles and waves."

Before she could say more, she quickly typed in champion select chat:

LadyTycoon: Lucian, please. LadyTycoon: Trust me.

The ADC picked... Jhin.

"Great. A shooter who stops to do a monologue before shooting," she murmured, crossing her arms. "This will be a slow game."

The match started and right in the first minutes... it was a nightmare. Jhin pushed without wards, took ganks like he was collecting enemy jungle business cards. The top laner, playing Yasuo, decided towers were optional and spent 10 minutes split pushing unsuccessfully. The jungle was a Sejuani who only showed up to smite her own base blue.

"This is more like the 'Disconnected Circus' than Summoner's Rift," she ironized, using her bitter tone that only came out when genuinely annoyed.

But Luna wasn't the type to give up easily.

In mid-game, with the team completely disorganized, she began doing the impossible: strategic roaming, warding the entire jungle, and mostly, pinging frantically where each player should be—although nobody obeyed.

The opportunity came at 33 minutes of play. The enemy team engaged on Baron, confident their ADC and mid were alive while Luna's team looked like a mix of AI and sleepwalkers.

That's when Luna saw the opening.

She flashed behind the wall, used Ebb and Flow on the enemy Lucian, launched the Ultimate, and followed with perfect Aqua Prison on the mid laner. All in sync. A surgical engage.

"Now, please, just don't… mess up."

Miracle: Yasuo hit a tornado. Jhin used ult well. Sejuani... finally appeared.

Triple kill.

Quadra.

ACE.

The team rushed through mid lane, crashing the Nexus like a truck without brakes.

Victory.

But Luna didn't forgive.

LadyTycoon: You guys play like expired jelly. LadyTycoon: Worst game of the week. LadyTycoon: You owe me 50k in therapy.

She closed the client with a sharp click and looked at the ceiling, massaging her temples. "Time for urgent music detox."

She opened YouTube. At the top of the page, K-Pop videos highlighted.

"Perfect."

She clicked on a BLACKPINK MV, starting with powerful beats and dancers dominating the scene.

Luna's room was bathed in neon lights as the ambient lighting reacted to the sound.

While watching the detailed choreography, Luna started imitating the steps, standing in the middle of the room.

"Okay, step the foot, turn the hip... ugh! This requires the balance of a Korean circus ballerina!"

She tried to imitate the knee move, almost tripped on the plush rug. "Not even the system prepared me for this."

But she didn't give up. On the contrary, she danced with more intensity. The loose dress moved like a stage costume, and her hair tied in a messy bun spun with her.

And between clumsy attempts and spontaneous laughter, Luna felt a rare thing in her routine: silly joy. Simple happiness.

When the song ended, she threw herself into the chair, panting and smiling. "Okay... one more before sleep."

Play. Now starting "Pink Venom."

She stood up again, eyes shining.

Clumsy little steps and a magnate dancing like no one was watching.

(Except the system. And maybe a dozen security cameras.)
