The stealth vehicle arrived near The Black Lab just before dawn. The lab was a massive, dark
structure, rising from the heart of the barren desert like an impregnable and terrifying fortress.
Watchtowers illuminated the area with powerful spotlights, and advanced laser defense systems
covered every angle, making infiltration almost impossible.
"This is it," Jalen said, pointing to the display screen showing thermal images of the lab. "The
defenses are strong, but we've found a weak point."
The plan relied on infiltrating through an old ventilation system, believed to have been unused
for decades. Lux, thanks to his agility and superhuman strength, was the most suitable for this
dangerous task.
"Remember, there's no room for error," Echo said, placing her hand on Lux's shoulder, looking
at him intently. "Our mission is to save Laila, destroy the Energy Key, and gather any
information that can help us uncover the true identity of 'The Lord of Darkness'."
Lux set off, followed by Sira and Jalen. They moved silently through the sand, using advanced
camouflage devices that made them invisible to the naked eye and radar. They reached the
ventilation opening, cleverly hidden beneath a large rock."I'll open it," Jalen said, using a small device to skillfully hack the lock on the opening.
The opening slowly creaked open, revealing a narrow, dark tunnel that extended deep into the
lab.
"Good luck, Lux," Sira whispered, her eyes scanning the surroundings. "We've got you
covered."
Lux dashed into the tunnel, followed by Jalen and Sira. The tunnel was narrow and filled with
accumulated dust, but Lux moved with astonishing speed and agility. After minutes of crawling
in the darkness, they reached a small control room located in the heart of the facility.
"Here we can disable some of the main defenses," Jalen said, connecting his device to the
complex control screen and working quickly.
While Jalen was engrossed in his work, Lux heard footsteps coming from the adjacent corridor.
"Guards!" Lux whispered, drawing his glowing weapon, ready for confrontation.
Two robotic guards rushed into the room. They were equipped with powerful energy weapons
capable of piercing armor. Lux leaped over them with lightning speed, using the room's wall to
rebound, then delivered powerful, precise blows to their heads, completely disabling them in
moments.
"Good job, Lux," Jalen said, giving him a thumbs-up. "Now, the outer defenses are disabled. We
can proceed."
The team continued to advance through the lab's dark corridors. The atmosphere was charged
with tension and danger. They could hear strange sounds coming from adjacent rooms: sounds
of horrific experiments, and faint screams of pain.
Finally, they reached a vast hall in the heart of the lab, filled with scientists and security robots.
In the center of the hall, Lux saw the scene Echo had described to him: Laila was confined
inside a massive glass tube, connected to numerous wires and complex devices. She was
pale, but alive and breathing with difficulty.
Beside her, the "Energy Key" that Lux had previously stolen pulsed with immense power,
channeling its energy towards Laila, attempting to merge with her.
"Stop!" Lux shouted, rushing towards the tube, rage burning in his eyes.
At that moment, Selene, Veron, and Chrom emerged from the shadows. They had been
waiting for them, and a sinister smile was on their faces.
"We anticipated your arrival, Reven," Selene said with a cold smile, her violet eyes gleaming.
"But this time, you won't escape your fate."
A fierce battle erupted. Jalen and Sira immediately engaged the guards and robots with
exceptional skill, while Lux rushed directly towards Selene, Veron, and Chrom.
Lux fought with unprecedented power. He knew that Laila's fate, and indeed the fate of this
entire world, depended on him.
"I won't let you harm Laila!" Lux roared, delivering a powerful punch to Veron, then deftly
evading Chrom's attack in a fluid motion.
The fight was violent and chaotic, but Lux fought with intelligence and courage. He used
everything he had learned from the Night Guard, combining Reven's superhuman strength
with his human intellect.
Suddenly, as Lux was fighting ferociously, he felt an immense energy approaching, a familiar
energy, but far more powerful than he remembered.
A figure emerged from the thick shadows. It was a tall man, clad in a dark black robe that
completely covered his body, and his face was hidden beneath a silver mask that inspired
dread. His eyes glowed with a faint red light, like smoldering embers.
"You've come at last, traitor," the man said in a deep, terrifying voice that echoed in the hall. "I've
been waiting for you, Reven."
