Chapter 20 - Chapter 20: The New Beginning

Rudra and his sister walked in silence for a while, the only sound being the rustling of leaves beneath their feet. They had finally escaped the temple, and the darkness that lurked within.

As they walked, Rudra couldn't help but think about the journey that had brought him here. He had lost so much, but he had also gained something precious - his sister's freedom.

After a while, they came to a clearing, and in the center of it stood a beautiful village. The houses were made of wood and thatch, and smoke drifted lazily from the chimneys.

Rudra's sister gasped in wonder. "This is beautiful," she said.

Rudra smiled. "Welcome to our new home," he said.

As they entered the village, they were greeted by the villagers, who welcomed them with open arms. Rudra and his sister were given food and shelter, and they soon found themselves feeling like part of the community.

But despite the warmth and hospitality of the villagers, Rudra couldn't shake off the feeling that he was being watched. He kept looking over his shoulder, expecting to see Malakar's ghostly figure lurking in the shadows.

His sister noticed his unease and placed a reassuring hand on his arm. "Rudra, it's okay," she said. "We're safe now."

Rudra nodded, trying to convince himself that she was right. But the feeling of being watched persisted, and he couldn't shake off the sense that his journey was far from over.

As the days passed, Rudra settled into his new life in the village. He helped with the daily chores, learned new skills, and even made some new friends.

But at night, when the village was quiet and the stars twinkled in the sky, Rudra would often sneak out of his hut and walk to the edge of the village.

There, he would stand and look out into the darkness, feeling the weight of his past bearing down on him. He would think about Malakar, and the curse that had haunted his family for so long.

And he would wonder, was it really over? Or was there still more to come?

One night, as he stood at the edge of the village, Rudra saw a figure approaching him. It was a woman, tall and stately, with long hair that flowed like the wind.

She came closer, and Rudra saw that it was the same woman he had seen in his visions. The woman who had spoken to him in the temple.

"Who are you?" Rudra asked, his voice barely above a whisper.

The woman smiled. "I am the guardian of the temple," she said. "And I have come to tell you that your journey is far from over."

Rudra's heart skipped a beat. What did she mean?

The woman's eyes seemed to bore into his soul. "The curse may be broken," she said, "but the consequences of your actions are still to come."

Rudra felt a chill run down his spine. What consequences?

The woman turned to leave, but Rudra called out to her. "Wait!" he said. "What do you mean?"

The woman turned back, her eyes glinting in the moonlight. "You will see," she said. "But for now, know that your destiny is still unfolding."

And with that, she vanished into the night, leaving Rudra with more questions than answers.
