Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 - Edge of Collapse

Date: December 14, 2030

Time: 08:00

Location: Nemesis Island – Central Line

The gate to the storm had opened wide. In this chaos, where biomechanical creatures merged with machines, time lost its meaning. Colonel Sefa Yücel and his team were fighting on the razor's edge between life and death.

Mechanical Darkness

The moment they advanced, the screeches of metallic beasts echoed. One of them, built like a metal skeleton, lunged at Sefa. With a swift movement, he slashed diagonally toward its neck joint. Sparks flew—enemy neutralized.

> "Hold your positions! Do not retreat!" Sefa roared, his voice commanding the corridor.

Zayd shielded Gökhan from a blow, but the impact shattered his helmet. Still, he rose again.

> "Colonel... they're adapting. These machines learn fast."

Sefa's eyes narrowed. Ombra's technology wasn't just advanced—it evolved.

The Collapse Begins

> "Left flank—falling apart!" Cemil screamed over comms.

Eren fired from an elevated position but couldn't keep up with the growing swarm. The machines came with numbers, speed, and coordination.

> "We're being herded," Sefa muttered to himself. "Driven right where they want us."

Suddenly, the rear collapsed. From all sides, they were surrounded. Casualties rising fast. Panic threatened to spread—but Sefa's voice cut through it.

> "Keep fighting. Our fear is their weapon!"

The Rift Core

Then came the tremor. The walls trembled. From deep within, a massive platform rose—glowing and humming.

Ombra appeared, his holographic form towering.

> "Still resisting, Sefa Yücel?" Ombra's voice echoed. "Still clinging to a broken system?"

A sphere began rotating on the platform. It pulsed with unknown energy.

> "This isn't a weapon," Eren said. "It's… something else."

Sefa answered:

> "It's a rift. Not to travel—but to rewrite this world."

Ombra raised a hand.

> "Humanity is flawed. So I will eliminate choice itself. From now on, only unity and obedience."

Psychological Assault

Suddenly, several soldiers froze in place. Screaming. Whispers filled their minds.

Gökhan collapsed—his eyes blank. A lullaby from his childhood rang in his ears. Just as a machine raised its claw, Sefa dove in, pushing him out of harm's way.

> "They're not just attacking our bodies. They're in our minds now," he growled.

Zayd approached quickly.

> "Cemil is down. Eren's wounded. Colonel, we need to fall back."

Sefa scanned the area. No exits. No backup. No hope.

But then...

A choice.

The Final Key

From his chest pouch, Sefa retrieved the Oblivion Key—a prototype EMP bomb. One blast could wipe out the entire zone. But it came with a price.

He looked at his team. Looked at the enemy. Looked at the world he might never see again.

> "This is on me," he said. "I brought us here. I end it here."

He turned to Zayd.

> "Get them out. No arguments."

Zayd hesitated... then saluted.

Sefa smiled for the last time.

Activated the device.

The Light and the Flag

The explosion wasn't fire or destruction—it was silence. Machines fell like dominoes. Screens shattered. Ombra screamed:

> "No! I wasn't ready!"

Then all went white.

Memory Eternal

Hours later, few survivors reached the extraction point. Sefa was not among them. But something remained:

A folded Turkish flag.

Gökhan knelt, drove it into the soil.

> "Sometimes… eternity begins with the memory of one man."
