Chapter 6 — The Playmaker
Evelyn's eyes stayed locked on mine, a slow smirk tugging at her lips.
Behind her, Judy shifted against the doorway, watching — arms still crossed but gaze sharper now.
The air between us hummed — not with danger… but with something far more combustible.
I stepped between them.

My hands moved with slow confidence — one sliding around Evelyn's waist, the other reaching to Judy's, pulling them both gently but firmly into my space.
Judy stiffened, sharp breath caught in her throat.

I leaned in — a whisper between their faces.
"Seems like neither of you scares easy… I like that."
Then I turned my head — brushing a slow, soft kiss on Evelyn's cheek, lips barely grazing skin.
Her breath hitched.
Eyes flashed.
Before she could speak, I shifted — planting an equally soft, lingering kiss on Judy's temple.
Her eyes snapped to mine.

I took it, fingers brushing hers — slow, deliberate.
Judy gave a soft exhale, pushing off the doorway.
"Guess I'll see if you burn as hot as you act."
Evelyn smirked.
"Oh… I'm sure he will."
