Synopsis
In the middle of the night when the rain was pouring down, Li Yan tightly gripped the steering wheel, and the headlights cut out two swaying beams of light in the rain. In the rearview mirror, the black SUV had been following him for three traffic lights. The cold sweat from his palms made the steering wheel slippery, and he thought of the worn-out Bible he had snatched from the library half an hour ago. Lin Xia's words before leaving echoed in his ears: "This book contains the secret that my family has guarded for three hundred years. It must not fall into the hands of those people!" Suddenly, a heavy truck rushed out from the side. Li Yan turned the steering wheel sharply, and the car spun violently and crashed into the roadside guardrail. Amid the sharp sound of metal twisting, he saw a blood-red crack in the sky, and the Bible flew out from the co-pilot, emitting a strange light.

Chapter 1 - Blood Moon Car Accident

In the middle of the night when the rain was pouring down, Li Yan tightly gripped the steering wheel, and the headlights cut out two swaying beams of light in the rain. In the rearview mirror, the black SUV had been following him for three traffic lights.

The cold sweat from his palms made the steering wheel slippery, and he thought of the worn-out Bible he had snatched from the library half an hour ago. Lin Xia's words before leaving echoed in his ears: "This book contains the secret that my family has guarded for three hundred years. It must not fall into the hands of those people!"

Suddenly, a heavy truck rushed out from the side. Li Yan turned the steering wheel sharply, and the car spun violently and crashed into the roadside guardrail. Amid the sharp sound of metal twisting, he saw a blood-red crack in the sky, and the Bible flew out from the co-pilot, emitting a strange light.

As the severe pain hit and his consciousness gradually blurred, Li Yan felt countless fine touches spreading from his back, like millions of feathers growing at the same time.

When he opened his eyes, he found himself suspended in a pure white space. Wearing a white robe, he gently waved his hands, and soft spots of light floated with it.

"Gabriel, the first-level angel, listen to the laws of heaven." A low voice sounded in his mind, "Go to the human world immediately and stop Lin Xia from interpreting the secrets of the Bible. Those who violate it will suffer the punishment of falling."

Li Yan wanted to struggle, but found that he could not resist this force. The next second, his body fell to the human world like a meteor. The moment he landed, he saw Lin Xia being surrounded by three people in black robes at the entrance of the alley.

"Give us the Bible, Miss Lin." The black-robed man raised his hand, flashing blue runes, "Do you think you can escape the pursuit of Lord Michael?"

Lin Xia held the backpack tightly against his chest, his eyes full of vigilance: "You running dogs of fallen angels! My grandfather was killed by you!"

Li Yan's heart tightened, and impulse drove him to rush forward. When he recited the first biblical text that came to his mind, a holy light spurted out from his palm, blasting the black-robed man away.

"How could you..." Lin Xia opened her mouth in surprise, looking at the white wings looming behind Li Yan.

Before Li Yan could explain, a loud thunder suddenly sounded in the sky. He felt a tearing pain in his back, and a pair of complete white wings slowly unfolded. At this moment, he understood that his fate was now tightly tied to this girl and the conspiracy of the spirit world.

And in the distant sky, an angel in golden armor watched all this calmly. He stroked the long sword in his hand, and a cold smile appeared at the corner of his mouth: "Gabriel, you poor chess piece, you will soon know the consequences of violating the commandments of heaven..."

Before the bright light from Li Yan's wings dissipated, ink-colored ripples suddenly seeped out from the wall at the entrance of the alley. Where the three black-robed men turned into ashes, a chain with barbs suddenly emerged, entangled with his wings that had not yet fully formed. The pain made him kneel on one knee, and the cold voice of the golden-armored angel rang in his ears: "You touched the forbidden area, Gabriel, and now it's time to pay the price."

Lin Xia grabbed Li Yan's bloody arm and dragged him into the dark alley. The Bible in the backpack suddenly emitted a blazing light, projecting flowing Latin on the wall. She said in a hurry: "This is the 'Heavenly Punishment Channel' recorded in my grandfather's notes, follow me!" The wall rippled like the surface of water, and the moment the two fell into the channel, countless sword qi penetrated the place where they had just stood.

When they opened their eyes again, they were in a secret room covered with silver lines. Seven crystals of different colors were inlaid on the wall. The Bible automatically floated up, suspended in front of the blue crystal, and the cover page slowly opened. Li Yan saw a yellowed parchment inside, on which were painted broken wings and a bloody sword.

"This is the family motto." Lin Xia stroked the parchment, her voice trembling, "Three hundred years ago, when the first generation of guardians fought against the fallen angels, they discovered a hidden conspiracy in heaven - Michael wanted to use fragments of the Bible to reshape the gates of hell. Your angel identity...maybe a trap."

A spider web-like gap suddenly appeared on the top of the secret room, and the tip of the golden armored angel's sword fell from the sky. Li Yan instinctively raised his palm, and at the moment when the holy light and the sword energy collided, fragmented memories flashed through his mind: he was lying on the experimental table, a group of people in white robes surrounded a glass cabinet filled with blue liquid, and Lin Xia's grandfather was implanting something into his body.

"You saw something you shouldn't have seen." The golden-armored angel slowly descended in the void, and the blade of the sword cut through the air and screamed, "The so-called angel awakening is just a trap we set up to seize the Bible. Gabriel, you have never been an angel - but a failed artificial container."

Li Yan felt something in his body was collapsing, and his wings began to shatter. Lin Xia suddenly tore open the parchment, revealing an ancient spell written in blood on the back. The Bible burst into a dazzling light, forcing the golden-armored angel to retreat half a step. She shouted at Li Yan: "Go! The energy here can't last long!"

But Li Yan shook his head, held Lin Xia's hand, and injected the holy light into her body: "If I am a container, at least let me fill it with my own things." The broken wings behind him suddenly burned with pure white flames. This time the light was no longer gentle, but with a sharp edge that destroyed everything.

The moment the golden-armored angel rushed over with his sword, the words on the Bible turned into stars in the sky and merged with Li Yan's burning wings. In this devastating collision, Li Yan finally saw Lin Xia's tears and the half piece of blue crystal tightly grasped in her hand - that was the key to unlocking all the mysteries.
