Victoria's POV
He came back.
This time, with fury.
Caligo roared as he lunged at me, darkness coiling around him like a storm made flesh. I barely had time to brace myself before a wave of shadow magic burst from his palms, cracking the stone beneath my feet and forcing me backward.
But it didn't stop there.
From the edges of the chamber, shadows began to move—too many. Figures stepped forward, their eyes glowing with that same twisted light. Hybrids. Dozens of them. Mutated wolves bound by dark magic, snarling and slavering, circling me like predators closing in on prey.
I was outnumbered.
Hopelessly outnumbered.
Caligo's voice echoed across the cave, venomous and triumphant. "Get her! But don't kill her—not yet." He sneered. "She's mine. I'm the only one who has the right to end this bitch."
The hybrids snarled in unison, moving closer.
