Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: I don't want it, don't come over!

The runaway kid saw Lu Yu, his eyes lit up, and he shouted, "Big brother, save me! These guys actually said our Wild Wolf Gang was wiped out, we must teach them a lesson, let them know how powerful our Wild Wolf Gang is."

The few people behind heard the kid's words, slowed down a bit, feeling a bit uneasy and uncertain, could the news that the Wild Wolf Gang was wiped out be false?

They then carefully observed Lu Yu and found that Lu Yu was just a young man, even if he was really from the Wild Wolf Gang, he couldn't be that formidable.

The few people exchanged glances, took big strides forward, holding knives stained with mysterious grime, shouting, "So what if he's from the Wild Wolf Gang? Chop him up together!"

When Lu Yu saw them chasing the kid towards him, he planned to avoid them, but unexpectedly, that kid first slandered him as someone from the Wild Wolf Gang, dragging him into the mess.

Seeing the kid running over, emanating a rancid stench, with skin and clothes dyed black, Lu Yu felt like he wanted to smack him away.

Unfortunately, the people chasing the kid behind seemed to regard him as the kid's accomplice, focusing all their attention on him.

Lu Yu glanced around, casually picked up a clean stick leaning against the wall, he didn't want to touch those knives and clothes stained with mysterious substances.

He swung the stick at the kid's stomach, sending him flying, lying motionless on the ground.

Lu Yu hated trouble, especially this kind of completely meaningless trouble.

The few people saw Lu Yu smack the kid away, feeling something was amiss, but didn't think much, charging over with knives.

In their eyes, Lu Yu, who was only holding a wooden stick, was definitely not their match holding knives.

The few people were generally of average strength, probably Martial Cultivators at the Body Refinement level two, if it weren't for the intimidating grime on their knives and bodies, Lu Yu would have already floored them.

The stick in his hand made three swift hits, each targeting the wrists of the three holding knives, and after the intimidating knives fell, they realized Lu Yu was difficult to deal with.

They didn't dare to utter harsh words, abandoning their knives, turning and fleeing immediately.

Lu Yu couldn't be bothered to chase them, tossing away the stick, turning to walk towards Jimin Hall.

After only a few steps, he noticed a tagalong behind him and deliberately walked into an alley.

The tagalong saw Lu Yu turn into the alley and disappear into the crowd, hurried to catch up, but after entering the alley, couldn't find any trace of Lu Yu, feeling a bit disappointed.

"Why are you following me?" Lu Yu appeared at the mouth of the alley, blocking the tagalong's path, and asked.

"I know you." The tagalong said.

The tagalong was the kid who earlier dragged Lu Yu into the mess.

Lu Yu rolled his eyes, "What does it matter to me if you know me? It's enough that I don't know you. Don't follow me, or it won't just be a stick anymore!"

With that said, Lu Yu turned and left, not wanting to know anything about the tagalong, only wanting to quietly cultivate, to expose Yang Xiu when he had enough strength and claim the reward.

Seeing Lu Yu turn and go without hesitation, the tagalong panicked, hurriedly catching up to say, "I know you, you were once a beggar in Blackwater Ditch like me, half a month ago you were taken by people from the Han Mansion."

"You're from the Han Mansion, you must want to know about the mysterious person behind the Wild Wolf Gang, Fierce Tiger Gang, and Blood Saber Association, I accidentally encountered the mysterious person seeking the gang leaders, I know who the mysterious person is!"

Lu Yu suddenly turned around, seeing the tagalong almost crashing into him, quickly stepped to the right, the tagalong abruptly braking and falling down unsteadily.

"I don't want to know who the mysterious person is, and don't tell me either."

Seeing the tagalong getting back up, Lu Yu added, "Don't come near me."

The tagalong was very puzzled, the Han Mansion people were clearly looking everywhere for the mysterious person, why did Lu Yu not want to know when he had the chance?

"Don't you know that finding the mysterious person will earn you a great reward from the Han Mansion?"

"I know, but I don't want it." Lu Yu paid him no more attention, walking out of the alley.

"The mysterious person is from the Han Mansion, I don't know his name, but I'd recognize him."

Lu Yu's steps halted, his expression somewhat helpless, why? Why force himself like this?

He didn't expect that this kid really saw Yang Xiu going to meet the Wild Wolf Gang leader, and could even recognize Yang Xiu.

Lu Yu hesitated, wondering whether to kill to silence. The tagalong's existence was a huge threat, whether Yang Xiu knew that he, through the tagalong, found out he was the mastermind behind it.

Or even if Butler Zhang knew, he knew who the mastermind was and refused to reveal it, it was all very dangerous.

After much hesitation, Lu Yu couldn't bring himself to do it, although he resented the kid for dragging him down earlier, he couldn't lay hands on a child.

After a long while, Lu Yu reluctantly said, "Follow me! But I warn you, until I allow it, you cannot speak of anything regarding the mysterious person to anyone, no matter who."

"Once I find out you've told others, you should be clear about the consequences, I don't need to say more."

"Okay." The Little Tail showed a happy smile and promised, "I definitely won't tell others, and besides this matter, I've only told you, I haven't told anyone else."

"That's good, remember what I said."

"Got it!" The Little Tail nodded seriously.

Back at the courtyard arranged for himself in Jimin Hall, he called in a subordinate, pointed to the Little Tail, and said, "Take him to wash up and change into new clothes. He will live here from now on, and without my permission, he cannot leave this door."

"Yes." A subordinate took the Little Tail to bathe and change clothes.

But when they returned, Lu Yu felt his gaze was somewhat strange. Just as he wondered what that gaze meant, he saw a girl walk out from behind the subordinate.

"A girl?" Lu Yu sat in the room, facing the Little Tail who was now clean and wearing new clothes, "Why didn't you say so before?"

"I thought you knew." The Little Tail, once cleaned up, seemed to have changed personalities. No longer having the wild kid appearance, she stood in place, fingers curling her clothes, and spoke softly.

Lu Yu picked up the teacup, just about to take a sip of water, and upon hearing her words, his hand slightly paused.

He suddenly gulped all the water down his throat. Well! Since things are like this, what else can be done!

"From now on, you'll sleep in that room." Lu Yu casually pointed to a bedroom, "And without my permission, you aren't allowed to leave this courtyard."

"Understood." The Little Tail nodded softly.

Gurgle, gurgle~

The sound came from the Little Tail's stomach. Lu Yu glanced at her, went out, and ordered someone to arrange for dinner to be brought in.

He had taken a marching pill before, and didn't need to have dinner, which was why he had forgotten about it.

During dinner, the Little Tail reverted to her wild kid demeanor, fearing others might compete with her for food.

Lu Yu also casually ate a bit, then began to cultivate, taking out the Tempered Great Sword, consumed a Qi Blood Pill, and started the idle cultivation of the Bladeless Blade Technique.

The Qi Blood Pill, unlike the Body Refining Pill, serves to replenish Qi Blood and can be taken multiple times a day, to speed up cultivation or restore Qi Blood during combat.

However, few people consume Qi Blood Pills directly during battle to restore depleted Qi Blood because the restoration speed is too slow; the battle often concludes before the pill takes effect.

Therefore, Qi Blood Pills are mostly used to replenish the Qi Blood consumed during cultivation, accelerating the speed of cultivation.

Before taking Qi Blood Pills, when Lu Yu was idle training Fierce Tiger Fist, it only increased by 1 point of Qi Blood, but after taking a Qi Blood Pill, the same amount of time could result in an increase of 2 points of Qi Blood.

After the system took over his body, Lu Yu began to cultivate the Bladeless Blade Technique, he could feel his Qi Blood rapidly depleting, while the just-consumed Qi Blood Pill kept the Qi Blood flowing to replenish the consumed Qi Blood from cultivation.

The Qi Blood consumption rate while cultivating the Bladeless Blade Technique was much faster than when training the Fierce Tiger Fist, and Lu Yu soon felt the Qi Blood Pill in his stomach no longer emitting Qi Blood.

After a while, Lu Yu automatically exited the cultivation state; this was the first time he had automatically exited, as he usually did it voluntarily.

As soon as his consciousness returned to his body, he felt sore and powerless all over, especially in his arms and lower back from wielding the Tempered Great Sword; it seemed these parts no longer belonged to him, completely numb.

He used his mind to put the Tempered Great Sword lying on the ground into his backpack, then walked heavily upstairs.

"Do you want me to help you?" The Little Tail ran over to him, asking, remembering he previously told her not to get close.

"No need, go to sleep yourself." Lu Yu didn't even look at her, pushed open the room door with his shoulder, entered, and immediately lay on the bed and fell asleep.

After being refused, the Little Tail didn't say anything, went back to her room, and went to sleep.

The next day when Lu Yu logged into the game, he found his body was still somewhat sore.

"Looks like I can only cultivate the Bladeless Blade Technique every two days." Lu Yu sighed, but seeing his Qi Blood, his mood instantly improved.

The Bladeless Blade Technique, worthy of a third-tier spirit-level blade skill, had increased 3 points of Qi Blood in just a short training last night, even more than the daily growth from training the Fierce Tiger Fist.

This was only the first level of the Bladeless Blade Technique; reaching the second level would speed up the cultivation even more.

Lu Yu now desperately wanted experience points; he was just a bit away from leveling up the Bladeless Blade Technique, but where to find the experience points?

After breakfast, early in the morning, Lu Yu left Jimin Hall. Before leaving, he instructed the Little Tail to stay put in the courtyard and not to go anywhere, and also ordered the guard to keep a close eye on the Little Tail.

But as he went out, he couldn't shake the feeling of odd gazes from people in the apothecary.

"Phew~" Lu Yu shook his head, casting away the gazes from the apothecary out of his mind, "Don't think about it, first find a way to gather 1000 experience points to level up the Bladeless Blade Technique."

Lu Yu walked towards the outside of Windmill Town.
