"Betrayer? What is she talking about?" Stella asked.
Rune wasn't sure, but he had a pretty good idea. "I think she is mistaking me for Argus. Not everyone knew what happened to him back then."
The visions of the old war and the leader of the Oxen always went as quickly as they came. Ever since gaining full control over his powers, though, Rune was able to remember them clearly. Stella, too, had seen similar visions--lingering vestiges of an ancient time that were locked inside the origin.
"You left us to dieee!!"
Marilith screamed again and began to move. Despite her massive size, she was fast. The six gargantuan pillars were not the only ones, and dozens of other smaller pillars were spread out all around. The First Beast zig-zagged between them, and her scales scraping across the rocky floor shook the entire cavern. She was on the party in an instant, and Rune called out to his companions.
"Snap out of it! She is coming!"
