The night before the final part of the assassination exam...
Alex layed on his bed, staring at the ceiling, worry etched across his face. Alone in the quiet of his room, he couldn't help but ask himself:
"Can I really do this? I mean, i know im strong, but can i reall win this fight?"
Turning his head to the side, his eyes landed on the moon glowing softly through the window. A sigh escaped him as he whispered:
"I have to win. I've gotta beat some sense into that Mori idiot. I'm not a fan of ideals and stuff, but when somethings wrong, it's wrong."
He slowly laid back, eyes drifting to the ceiling again.
"Whatever. Tomorrow would come and go like a breeze. I'll end up being as strong as I need to in order to become a Lord. That won't change." Alex while looking at the ceiling started to doze off. Eventually, he closed his eyes and went to sleep.
The next morning, in a huge arena buzzed with excitement, the people of the city cheered loudly, the energy of anticipation flooding the air.
Backstage, Kinto was adjusting his gloves when he glanced at the time.
"Where could that white haired idiot be? He's late." he muttered, brows furrowing. "What the hell is he up to?"
With a deep sigh, Kinto looked out toward the entrance.
"I hope he makes it, otherwise he wont be able to beat the sense outta Mori."
Meanwhile, back in the city...
"AHHHH! I OVERSLEPT?!". Alex woke up while screaming.
Alex jolted upright in his bed, panic crashing through his chest.
"How the hell did I oversleep today of all days?! What the hell is going on?"
He bolted into the bathroom, took the fastest shower of his life, brushed his teeth with lightning speed, threw on his clothes, and—without thinking twice—leapt out the window, dashing through the city at full speed.
Back at the arena floor, Tomoa stood with Mori, waiting.
"Alex starion. Make it too the center of the arena. Now!" Tomoa asked, glancing at Kinto.
"I honestly have no idea," Kinto replied, clearly irritated.
Alex was now sprinting across rooftops, jumping from one to another like a man possessed.
"I've got only ONE minute left?! No way!" He exclaimed while rushing towards a huge arena field with people.
The audience grew restless.
"Why hasn't the match started yet?!"
Boos and complaints echoed throughout the arena. The excitement was quickly turning to disappointment.
Tomoa stepped forward and called out, "Alex? Are you here?!"
As Alex raced across the rooftops, he suddenly heard footsteps behind him. Turning slightly, he caught a glimpse of Raquel running alongside him.
"Raquel?!" he called out.
She nodded with a smirk.
"I'm gonna be late! I need your help!" he shouted.
"Be patient," Raquel replied, and suddenly—her foot crystallized.
Without warning, she delivered a powerful kick that launched Alex into the sky. "That's what you get for being an idiot." She exclaimed with annoyance.
Back in the arena...
Tomoa sighed. "Since Alex hasn't arrived yet... I'm afraid we'll have to—"
BOOM.
Before he could finish, Alex came crashing down onto the arena floor, a cloud of smoke and dust filling the air.
When it cleared, Alex was sprawled on the ground, panting heavily.
Kinto covered his face with one hand, groaning. "Why does he always have to show up at the last second... and in the worst way possible...?"
The crowd exploded with cheers, the atmosphere reigniting with energy. "Okay, now that was an entrance" one solider said with a smirk and arms crossed
Tomoa approached.
"Alex. Are you ready?"
Alex slowly stood, cracking his knuckles. "Yeah... I'm ready. Sorry for being late. I trained so hard to the point i got exhausted". The most diabolical lie Alex has ever told.
Tomoa turned to Mori. "And you?"
"I'm ready," Mori replied coldly.
He glared at Alex. "How the hell is a guy like you even allowed to be an assassin? Jumping in at the last second. Reckless fool!"
Alex smirked, cracking his knuckles again. "Shut up. You talk big but you're just an overconfident dick head! I'll beat you fair."
Tomoa raised his hand.
"ALRIGHT! BEGIN!"
Alex took a deep breath, his body beginning to glow as energy surged throughout him. He activated his signature move:
Energy Fist – Plus 20: Strength of a Hundred Men. A huge burst of green energy blasted out of his body. His fist were covered with green Fists of energy.
In the crowd, Sughi and Levi both leaned forward in surprise.
"Wait..." Levi muttered, wide-eyed. "Originally using energy fists, one needs a whole ton of energy, and this kid is using plus 20? He's definitely diablo's student no doubt about it."
Kinto smiled to himself, hands in his pockets as he watched from the stairs of the huge arena.
"No one's seen even half of what Alex can do."
Mori, unimpressed, narrowed his eyes.
"So this is what you plan to use to win? Are you kidding "
Alex nodded. "I might not know any fancy techniques or any bullshit move like you. But I'll use what i have to beat you and that stupid arrogant attitude on your face."
Alex began flash-stepping around Mori from all angles, vanishing and reappearing at insane speeds that were almost twice that of sound.
"Hmph. I don't even need a technique to beat you. I'll just beat you with brute force" Mori exclaimed. Before he knew it, Alex came blasting at him at full speed. Mori was able to jump out of the way, but Alex came in faster. He was flash-stepping as fast as he could while throwing powerful blows at Mori. Mori on tye other hand was just running and dodging as fast as he could.
Alex zipped behind him, unleashing a barrage of rapid punches. Mori dodged effortlessly, weaving through them with good skills. "Really? You think brute strength's gonna save you?" he mocked Alex with a frown as he kept dodging and parrying his powerfull blows.
But suddenly—Alex appeared right in front of him, face to face, ready to land a direct hit.
BAM!
Mori's foot slammed into Alex, sending him flying several yards and crashing into the ground.
"You're pitiful," he sneered. "You thought something like that would work?"
Alex groaned while getting back on his feet. He chuckled and then replied with a smirk
"Nah... I just wanted to test how fast you are. Turns out, raquel was right. You are fast."
Mori's eyes widened in surprise.
Alex clenched his fists again, now glowing with more energy. "Alright now. Let's get other.", he muttered with a smirk as he started to throw beams in the shape of fists at Mori.
Mori's eyes narrowed as he flipped backward, barely dodging the first fast moving blasts "Fast! Way to fast!" He exclaimed as he started to run around the battlefield while dodging the rapi fire flash fists Alex was shooting at him. Each one could knock down buildings instantly.
"Long-range, huh..." Alex thought. "It's gonna be hard for him to get close now. Although, he's most likely going to prove me wrong."
In the crowd, Sukuna leaned toward Serena.
"I wasn't expecting Alex to go all out like this. He's strong, but right off the start, I wasn't expecting to throw all his cards in like that" she said.
Serena smiled. "Alex always gives everything he has. He goes all out from the start, he's probably thought of how the fight could play out."
Back in the arena, Mori was sweating now. He was fast—but the speed of Alex's Flash Fists was overwhelming. He was dodging, moving as fast as possible. The flash fists shot by alex were causing massive explosions of energy.
"He's going to corner me! This guy. He might be a D-ranker, but he's easily getting past that level. Not just him, but everyone else too. Tch!" He said to himself.
Thinking quickly, Mori activated a technique "Death Block."
A wave of red energy exploded from his hands, deflecting all of Alex's attacks at once. As the dust settled, everyone saw it—Mori's hands, now coated in crimson energy, shaped like deadly blades.
Cheers echoed through the stadium "Wow! No way!!!"
"No way," Kinto muttered. "He countered Alex's Flash Fists just by activating a simple technique?"
Son, watching from the stands, turned to Raquel in disbelief. "What is that?!"
Raquel looked worried.
"That red energy... It's called Death Block. A C-rank level technique made by the katakuri family. It's the equivalent to the energy fists alex uses. The only thing is that.... it was made to kill!!!"
Son frowned. "That bad, huh? What a pain. I just hope alex beats that arrogant bastard up"
Raquel didn't answer. She simply looked down at the arena, her eyes filled with concern.
"Alex... please be okay..."
Alex stared in shock. "What the hell...?"
Mori stepped forward slowly, red energy crackling at his fingertips.
"Alright, now its my turn. Make sure you dont die. Okay? I wanna savour your whining."
Alex grit his teeth and activated Energy Fist again. It had more energy this time.
"Alright, bet! I'll just make sure i do the same to you!"
He sneered.
"I'd rather off myself than lose to an arrogant bastard like you. You blue haired loser!"
