As Mori activated his Death Block technique, a violent red energy surged from his hands, forming sharp, glowing blades. He glared at Alex and sneered.
"You have two options," Mori said coldly. "Give up... or die in my hands."
Alex smirked, his eyes lighting up with excitement.
"I'd rather kill myself than die to a bastard with a god complex like you. And plus, where did you get a line like that from? If you wanna be edgy, you don't force it."
With a burst of energy, Alex ignited his Flash Fist technique and began unleashing a storm of energy punches at Mori. Mori moved at a terrifying speed—dodging, weaving, and parrying each one with his Death Block technique. Despite Alex's top-speed attacks, Mori was able to counter them with fluid precision. He was running and dodging the flash fists Alex was shooting at him. The beams of energy Alex was shooting was causing huge explosions of energy all over the field.
Alex's eyes narrowed.
"His speed... it's increasing....! If he gets close, he'll land a decisive blow for sure. I've gotta think of something" Alex thought to himself.
Kinto, watching from the sidelines, was in complete shock and annoyance.
"To dodge Alex's Flash Fist… He must be in a completely different league! Not like it wasn't obvious, but its more obvious now" he muttered, before shouting, "Alex! Think of something—fast! This is bad!"
Mori zipped through the battlefield, dodging with ease before infusing his daggers with energy. He released a slash that countered Alex's barrage of flash fists. The slash exploded outwards. Alex skidded backward, stunned by the sheer force of the attack "Shit! This is bad!"
In a blink, Mori speed-blitzed Alex and drove a blade straight into his chest. Alex collapsed to his knees, blood dripping from the wound. He looked up just for mori to kick him on the face and send him flying "You ain't that bad. But still, it was just a matter of time before I got through your plan." He said coldly.
He started to walk up to alex "Do you get it now?" Mori taunted, walking closer. "No assassin, no soldier among you could beat me. You're nothing but a weakling… born to be stepped on by the strong. Ive got talent, and i sharpen those talents. You just learn and sharpen your skills through hard work. Skills and hard work don't have shit on talent ."
Despite his injuries, Alex smiled.
"For a C-rank… you're pretty damn stupid. Like seriously, so stupidly arrogant!"
Mori's eyes widened—he had stabbed a doll. The real Alex appeared above him, fist cocked back while falling towards mori with insane speeds.
"Shut the hell up with that nonsense!" Alex shouted as he threw a punch.
Time seemed to slow for Mori. The crowd, the motion—everything was in slow motion to him. Irritated, he growled:
"YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN BEAT ME?! YOU FUCKING LOSER!!"
Time snapped back to normal. Mori unleashed a barrage of punches at insane speed, each strike sending shockwaves through the air. Alex was thrown to the ground before he could land his punch. He fell to the ground coughing blood.
The spectators—Kinto, Baraka, Serena, Sukuna, Son, and Raquel—were speechless. Even Rin, Shouya and Kazu were abit stunned.
"What just happened...?" Son asked, eyes wide.
"I… I don't know," Raquel responded, stunned." One second, alex was about to land a blow. Another second, mori claps back before alex could throw a punch!"
"What the hell? No way! That was way too fast! He'sarrogant and backs it up with power. The deadliest kind of character to face." Kinto whispered.
Serena was frozen in shock. Sukuna covered her face, disappointed.
"I really thought Alex would win. Like seriously."
Evenr runo who watched with her arms crossed said to herself "Always going for the death blow I see. Now what are you gonna do Alex?"
Bloodied and battered, Alex stood up again, facing Mori.
"What the hell are you trying to do this time? Hell, that was fast!" he asked, noticing steam pouring from Mori's fists.
From the stands, Levi turned to Sughi.
"What kind of insane technique is that now?"
Sughi calmly answered, "It's one of Mori's own. That's why he's even at C-rank—his skill set is insane."
Levi smirked. "Figures. He is your student after all. And plus you were like him back then when we were kids. The only difference was that you were a playful idiot who backed himself with power most people couldn't beat." Sughi held his laughter "I know. I wonder how diablo is taking this. Seeing my student taking down his."
Mori looked at Alex.
"My hands steam because I fused my physical strength and energy together. The energy's so dense it burns through. Physical strength and energy are two different things. Although, you can use your energy to amp your physical strength. But the same cant be said for physical strength increasing energy"
Alex scoffed.
"For a technique, it's pretty overhyped. Shit didn't even hurt that much for real. The only thing special about its is just its potency!."
Mori ignored the insult.
"Do you know why I look down on others? I come from a legendary clan—combat elites, unmatched in raw skill. Rivaling even the weapon-based clans. No one can match my honed ability. And I'm not so arrogant that I'd go around smiling and ignoring others strength. It's because I know others strength that I can analyse them, surpass them, and talk shit to them!"
Alex rolled his eyes.
"Yeah, we get it. You're cool and edgy. Blah! Blah! Blah! What does that have to do with the fight tho?"
Mori smirked.
"Simple. You may have potential, but you'll never match perfectly refined talent."
That struck a nerve.
Alex replied irritated. "That's all bullshit! There are plenty of soldiers and clans around the world that could put your people in their place. You look down on others because you think you're better? Let me tell you something—determination can beat talent when talent stops trying! You ever thought of that?"
Mori sighed, disappointed.
"I wasted time talking to someone who refuses to understand."
Alex replied "And I just wasted my time as well. Talking to an arrogant bastard who thinks he's all that is a waste of breath!"
"This guy's god complex is getting out of hand..." Alex thought, before charging forward recklessly.
"Alex, no!" Kinto yelled.
Mori caught Alex mid-charge, slammed him to the ground, and began strangling him while draining his energy. After absorbing a chunk of Alex's power, he smashed him to the ground again and landed rapid fire devastating blows that could break a city block In half 2 times over.
"It's over," Mori said, turning away.
But Alex, bloodied and shaky with his clothes roughed up, stood back up.
"I'm not done with you. Get back here."
Mori turned back, frustrated.
"Suit yourself."
He launched a flurry of punches, too fast for Alex to react. Again and again, Alex was knocked back. Yet he kept rising.
"You're strong, yeah…" Alex growled, blood on his lips. "But I have something greater.",he smirked.
Mori scoffed. "This fight is over. Just lay down and die!"
With energy surging in his fists, Mori charged in to deliver the final blow—but Alex grabbed his hands, eyes burning with some dark energy. This had mori shocked for a moment.
"You know what?" Alex said with a grin. "Thanks for pissing me off enough that I can kill you without a shred of remorse. You blue haired duck head!"
Suddenly, an explosion of black and red energy erupted from Alex's body, blasting Mori away. Everyone in the arena stood stunned. Even Mori was frozen in disbelief as he saw the violent burst of demonic energy that surged out of alex's body. This energy was one that wanted to devour all things
"What is this…?" Mori muttered in shock.
Alex, enveloped in demonic energy, smirked.
"Wasn't expecting my demon powers to activate just like that. Looks like you don piss me off now!"
Mori screamed Alex's name in anger, this caused a huge amount of blue energy to blast out of his body. He rushed at him, and clashed with him with an insane speed. Alex and Mori were face to face, alex even smirked "Hah! I'll beat your ass now, that's for sure."
Alex and mori started to blitz around the place at incredible levels of speed, both Alex and Mori were moving hundred times faster than sound. They were throwing blows and kicks at each other. Slamming each other around and showing great combat abilities.
Mori darted himself into the air, before he knew it, Alex was already above him. Mori dodged his kick, grabbed Alex by the leg, and slammed him to the ground. Rubble flew everywhere.
Mori screamed, with anger. He charged at alex again "Damn, this guy... he's on my level now! With the amount of energy we both have now, we should be at the low ends of C-rank."
"You people never accept reality! I was raised to be the best. You're all just stepping stones!" Mori exclaimed.
Alex dodged the falling rubble with skill, then noticed balls of energy heading toward him. He backflipped, sidestepped, dodging them all before re-engaging Mori in close quarters. "My skulls have gotten sharper. Well, if I wasn't already good due to training, then I wouldn't be as good while I'm using this power up!"
Kinto clenched his fists.
"Come on, Alex. You got this!"
Serena cheered from the sidelines.
"Don't lose to some god complex loser!"
Son watched, concerned.
"I knew Alex was strong… but this? This is insane." He said to himself with a smirk of excitement.
Raquel looked worried but hopeful.
"Please… do your best, Alex."
After another flurry of combat, Mori and Alex punched each other in the face at the same time, sending them both flying into the walls as well as causing a huge breeze.
Slowly, they stood.
"Time to end this," Mori growled.
Alex wiped the blood from his face.
"Yeah… I agree."
Summoning his Blade of Death, Alex charged in with an insane smikr blurring due to his dangerous speed. Mori gathered an overwhelming amount of energy into his hand "I'll end this guy....ILL MAKE SURE OF IT!!"
They clashed.
A massive explosion tore through the arena. Smoke blanketed everything.
When it cleared… Alex stood, left arm burned. Mori lay on the ground, chest scorched.
"The winner—ALEX STARION!" Tomoa declared.
The crowd erupted in cheers.
Alex panted, stunned.
"I… actually won." He smiled.
Mori on the other hand was just trying to sit up straight
Alex walked up to the defeated Mori and extended a hand.
"You're strong. But looking down on others? That's just stupid. Let go of that god complex before you ruin yourself. Seriously, it aint gonna end well for ya."
Mori sighed, exhausted.
"You just destroyed my pride… congrats. You white haired loser"
They shook hands. Alex smiled.
But his legs gave way.
Before he hit the ground, Diablo appeared behind him, catching him with his knee.
"You did a good job, Alex." he said with a proud smile and a thumbs up.
Runo stood up after watching her friend and teammate lose "I'd have cheered you on, but I hoped for that pride of yours to get crushed. Sorry buddy."
Sughi just laughed "Sorry kid, looks like you lost."
