I hummed as I hugged my bear. Today was going to be so much fun! Sil and I planned to meet up. We had started to see each other more often. Although, Sis worried Mommy might get more suspicious. Mommy had forbid me from seeing Sil years ago fearing the influence of the "wrong crowd," as she called it. She wanted me to associate only with those from our social circle, but Sil's friendship meant more to me than any of those snobby kids.
I tucked my bear under my arm and opened the door. My eyes widened and a small smile dotted my face. A pair of green eyes looked up at me.
"Auntie!" little Alabaster said, grinning up at me. He was almost four now, and he was always full of energy.
"Hello, Alabaster!" I greeted him, crouching down to give him a hug. "What are you up to today?"
He giggled, showing me the little wooden horse he held in his hand. "Playing, Auntie! Mama said I can go to the garden!"
