"Odd, Byron assumed Koga was the most likely of them to be behind the group due to his clans typing." she said with a confused tone. "Poison type pokemon have a bad rep since they tend to be amongst the most used by criminals. But that is less because they are actually innately drawn to evil acts so much as they are cheap and readily available in most regions. The only typing actually drawn to evil acts is ghost type pokemon and that's mostly because they are highly territorial and turn murderous on a dime." I said with a shake of my head.-
"I know that and so does Byron but stereotypes exist for a reason Alex. Even if Koga isn't behind Rocket he should at least have an idea about who is since his clan has always been infamous for their information gather ability." she pointed out and I couldn't deny that. This was a bit of a problem though as if Koga IS behind Rocket somewhere asking him about what he knew of it would only make the others cautious as they were tipped off that we were looking into them.-
The league was in an awkward position here as now that I had topped the top on the fact that there were league members of high standing behind Rocket the others had to approach the topic delicately. Honestly speaking I didn't think it mattered since the ones behind Rocket had to know they would be figured out eventually right? I mean sure I can see the others in the league purposefully ignoring the possibility but those background bigshots in Rocket had to have contingency plans for if they were outed. I know Giovanni likely big as he just sort of vanished after you defeat him the last time in the game.-
"I suppose it doesn't really matter since you don't have any actionable information to begin with. As for the whole binding me to a region thing, it's not happening. You can't actually force me to accept a job I don't want. You don't have enough leverage for that. I never cared about my reputation and banning me from public cross regional transportation methods is a joke at my level as I can either fly or go across the ocean on my own. Oh i knew that this was going to strain my relationship with the league by a lot but I didn't care. I was beyond the leagues power to actually restrict as I had plenty of ways to get around any bans they place. They could label me a criminal if they wanted to throw away all semblance of civility but I doubt they would as i tended to react viciously to any and all threats to my person.-
If they decide that I can't be allowed to walk free under any circumstance and go so far as to declare me a criminal and go for the arrest I'll not hesitate. I'm too close to my goal for that. This next evolution token should push me right up to my goal in theory unless there was some step between condensing a divinity and transforming it into godhood. I wasn't sure to be honest and I doubted that any besides Arceus, the three pillars and Ho ho knew to tell me if asked. Knowing that one can walk to godhood and knowing HOW to do so were very different things after all.-
Whatever the league chose I was prepared to deal with it as it would take some time for them to mobilize multiple champion level trainers if they went for the forceful option. Knowing the league though I doubted it would devolve to that level as on a majority the league tried to do right. If anything i was simply likely to get much more surveillance which I was totally fine with. I soon sold off the treasures I dug up in the underground through an company specialized in that exact thing.-

The final reward for turning in my quest was basically an extra skill and ability ticket each as well as a guaranteed ability ticket. I was quite pleased with this as it felt perfectly in line with the close to four dozen top or very high grade treasures i had dug up including a record breaking top grade Oval stone the size of a person. Clearly this Oval bone came from an extremely powerful Chansey a long time ago. These stones were sort of like kidney stones for the Chansey species in how they formed but more or less held a vast amount of the pokemon in questions energy and characterizations.-
They didn't harm the Chansey with them or anything like that but just sat within their bodies for their entire lifespans. They could be collected upon a Chansey dying and used to expedite the evolution of a Happiny into a Chansey. In other words it was a built in shortcut that the species had to evolution designed to protect it, a rare phenomenon in the world. The really valuable part though was that using the stone on a normal Happiny basically transformed it into a sort of twin of the original Chansey.-
In other words it could be used to make a variant out of a pokemon that didn't have a variation originally with no repercussions. The only downside was that Happiny evolved this way couldn't condense Oval stones of their own so that power was effectively lost with them. I personally had no interest in the stone or species as Yani was more than enough for my healing needs and frankly the species was a pain to raise as they were more or less all pacifists.-
Still selling that stone had no doubt buffed my reward by a bit so I got a guaranteed ability ticket which I knew exactly what I wanted to use it on, Greater time dilation. One of the abilities that tap into one of the foundational forces of the world. This ability allows the user to dilate how time affects either themselves, others or a generalized area. Whether that was speeding it up or slowing it down it was an extremely powerful ability to have.
