Violet Taylor and Amelia Charlie both stared at him, unable to utter a single word.
Mr. Taylor stood up, his body shaking as he ascended the stairs.
As he climbed, his legs gave out, nearly causing him to fall. He braced himself against the staircase, finally stabilizing his frame, an action that made both Violet Taylor and Amelia Charlie's hearts skip a beat in fear.
Then, he entered his bedroom.
Amelia Charlie, looking upstairs, found herself speechless.
Daisy Jade asked, "Mom, what should we do about dad?"
Amelia Charlie replied, "I'll go talk to him."
Even though she hated him, seeing how distressed he was now made it impossible for Amelia Charlie to simply watch him waste away.
She went upstairs and entered Mr. Taylor's bedroom.
Daisy Jade walked to the doorway, listening to the voices inside.
