Chapter Six
Sofia Hamilton grabbed her arms in near hysterics. "Tell me, what happened to my sister? What's the secret?"
"Who wants to kill her? What secret does she know?"
The woman, barely coherent, widened her dazed eyes and gestured for silence. "Shh! Keep it down! If they find out, it'll be disastrous."
"With a splash... she was thrown down."
The woman lowered her voice, murmuring softly.
Sofia felt as if her heart was being torn apart, her eyes bloodshot. "Who? Who threw her down?"
She grasped the woman's arms tightly, but the woman suddenly shook her head violently. "I don't know, I don't know, don't kill me."
"Don't kill me!!"
"Tell me, who threw my sister down?"
Sofia choked as she continued to question, but the woman abruptly screamed, seemingly agitated, crouching down and clutching her ears. "Don't kill me."
Sofia wanted to press further, but Ryan Gregory quickly stepped forward, pulling her back. "Enough, you won't get anything out of her like this."
