"Katiee...." May croons, as if the woman can hear her in the wagon, a day's ride away.
The woman will probably be quite happy to know how excited May is to see her when we get to the inn.
But of course, first there is the journey, which May has insisted on spending sitting between Lucas and I. It likely won't last, knowing how energetic she gets and how excited she already is, but I think the gesture is sweet.
She bounces up and down eagerly. "Will. It be soon?! Will. It be? SooooOOOONNNnnn!"
Lucas smiles and leans toward her a little. "Soon enough. Be patient, kiddo. We gotta get there safe, alright?"
"But I want to see Kaaaaaaaaaaateee!" May pouts and kicks her feet impatiently, arms crossed. "Want! Now!"
I cross my arms as well and arch a brow. "And will a tantrum get us there faster?"
May purses her lips and huffs, kicking her legs more vigorously, but ultimately dropping it. "Fine," she mumbles. "Be. Patience."
