Chapter 533 - Chapter 533: Chaotic Situation

The newcomers were none other than the Avengers, who had come to deal with the vampires. At this moment, the Avengers were unaware that the vampires and werewolves inside had already started fighting, a situation caused by the Moon Knight targeting the werewolves.

The Avengers were aware of the Moon Knight's existence because his battle with Nel had been recorded in the footage of Blade's fight with Machinelle. However, the Avengers had no idea that the Moon Knight was currently targeting their objective, and even Robert didn't know that the Moon Knight wasn't operating in Europe.

Originally, Robert thought that the Moon Knight's actions would be faster, but he assumed that the situation in Europe was quite complex. Considering the strength of the werewolves and vampires, even with the crescent moon throwing knives, it would be challenging for the Moon Knight to quickly resolve the werewolves, especially with the mysterious ancestor of both species involved.

Robert's plan was to first have the Moon Knight ascertain the strength and positions of the werewolves and vampires in Europe while the Avengers dealt with the local vampires. After that, they would collectively tackle the European vampires and werewolves.

What Robert hadn't expected was that after going to Europe, the Moon Knight followed the werewolves and vampires back to the USA and started hunting werewolves, causing internal conflict between the werewolves and vampires, coinciding with the Avengers' arrival.

"Be careful, there are many inside, and two of them have energy readings almost as strong as the Hell Lord we dealt with last time," Tony Stark cautioned, seeing Blade's excitement and reminding the surrounding Avengers.

The Avengers had already dealt with several vampires, but the ones in the USA weren't very powerful. The stronger ones were similar to the vampires and werewolves Robert had previously dealt with, nowhere near the level of Machinelle and Nel. Now, with Jarvis detecting vampire and werewolf power equivalent to the Hell Lord, Tony wanted to avoid any mishaps.

Apart from the recently joined Blade, who didn't know how formidable the Hell Lord was, the other Avengers were aware and became vigilant. Jarvis's detection equipment, upgraded and refined through numerous extraordinary events, was accurate, measuring life force strength, internal energy leakage, and more, though it wasn't perfect for all supernatural beings.

"So, this must be the headquarters of the vampires in the USA? The previous ones we faced barely had any high-level demons, and now there are top-tier Hell Lords?" Johnny Storm's eyes lit up with Tony's intel but then looked hesitantly at Martian Manhunter. With Robert, Clark, and Kara, the Avengers' high-end combat power absent, Martian Manhunter was their peak strength.

Although Martian Manhunter was powerful, based on previous battles and Robert's assessment, the exact extent of his strength was unclear to the Avengers. He hadn't participated much in earlier fights, keeping his distance, much like Peter Parker with Venom.

Martian Manhunter could help Venom slowly overcome his fire weakness but couldn't do the same for himself due to psychological issues. Unless he achieved a personal breakthrough, no one could help him with his fear of fire.

"I'm not sure. The vampires we dealt with before didn't have much information. Even the slightly stronger ones seemed more like independent individuals than a unified group. This gathering of many vampires is strange..." Tony Stark shook his head, leading the way into the secret gathering spot, only to stop in his tracks, stunned. "What is this? A vampire versus werewolf battle? And why are those vampires and werewolves just watching?"

"Wait, is that the Avengers? And isn't that guy the vampire hunter from the other night?" The Moon Knight, hidden in the shadows, also noticed the Avengers' arrival, especially Blade. Realization dawned on him. "No way, they're here to deal with the vampires? That vampire hunter teamed up with the Avengers? How coincidental for them to show up while I'm dealing with them?"

"This is a great opportunity! Although it's a bit underhanded, this is the perfect chance!" The Avengers didn't know the Moon Knight was hiding. Seeing the vampires and werewolves fighting, Johnny Storm's eyes lit up as he began conjuring explosive flames.

Unlike most Avengers who needed specialized weapons to hunt vampires, Johnny Storm used his explosive flames because of their high damage. A single blast could obliterate a vampire without leaving a complete body behind, ensuring they couldn't survive, no matter how resilient.

Johnny insisted on using his flames partly because he wasn't proficient with other specialized weapons. He couldn't handle various guns or silver weapons well. Without other abilities like super speed or telekinesis, he relied on his explosive flames for combat efficiency.

"Alright, let's do it!" Tony Stark, seeing the situation, didn't hesitate. "These werewolves and vampires are all the same. None of them are good, so let's kill them all!"

With Tony's command, a terrifying explosion erupted in the secret gathering spot. Smoke and dust rose as a group of vampires turned to charcoal, their lives extinguished.

Despite Tony's instruction to deal with both werewolves and vampires, Johnny Storm targeted the vampires first. Not only were they the original targets, but they also appeared less robust than the werewolves. Ensuring the surprise attack's effectiveness, he aimed at the vampires who were also more numerous and powerful than the werewolves. Werewolves couldn't fly or turn into bats, making them easier to hunt later.

"What happened?" The werewolves, stunned by the explosion, looked at the vampires in confusion, watching the rising smoke. "Did one of our kin lose control and attack? But who would bring explosives in here? And can that really kill vampires?"

"Damn it! We're under attack! Who's attacking us? The werewolves? I knew they weren't as straightforward as they seemed..." The vampires, feeling the heat and seeing the smoke, grew angry. Johnny's quick attack left both sides unaware of the Avengers.

However, following Johnny's lead, other Avengers began attacking too. Gunfire and laser beams filled the secret gathering spot. Specialized anti-vampire weapons took down one vampire after another.

The rapid succession of events left the vampires just realizing something was wrong. As they dodged and looked towards the source, they finally noticed the Avengers.

"Damn it! It's humans! Wait, that guy looks like the Daywalker we heard about!" One vampire recognized the newcomers. "No, those are the Avengers! How did they find this place? Were the recent official actions in the USA orchestrated by the Avengers?!"

On the other side, the Avengers ignored the vampires' cries. They had come to exterminate these vampires, and facing the enemy, there was nothing to discuss. One after another, the Iron Man suits took flight, attacking the vampires with silver weapons and ultraviolet devices, suppressing any organized resistance.

The werewolves, witnessing this, were confused. They now understood the source of the explosion but were unsure if they should act. Some werewolves, seeing the vampires being slaughtered, instinctively wanted to help, but their companions stopped them. After all, the vampires had just betrayed the werewolves. Most werewolves felt the vampires deserved this fate.

Recognizing the Avengers, the werewolves realized they couldn't stay or risk being killed. Even if the Avengers targeted the vampires, who knew if they'd get carried away and kill them too? The anti-vampire weapons would work against werewolves, and they didn't want to clash with the Avengers.

"Retreat! Marius will find a way out once the Avengers focus on the vampire duke," the werewolves decided, slowly backing away. Seeing this, the Moon Knight grew anxious.

If the werewolves escaped, hunting them all would be time-consuming and exhausting. The Moon Knight didn't want them to get away.

So, the Moon Knight resumed his killing spree. Werewolves fell one by one at the edge of the moonlight, their blood drained, lifeless.

"Damn it! The Avengers are attacking us too! We can't run! Fight them!" Realizing their numbers were dwindling, the werewolves thought it was the Avengers killing their kin. Assuming they were being attacked, they charged at the Avengers with a howl.

"What's going on?" Pietro looked bewildered at the charging werewolves. "We were going to chase them later, but now they're coming to us?"

The Avengers, unafraid of the werewolves, began hunting them too. Their anti-vampire weapons were effective against werewolves as well, and they didn't fear them.

"What are you doing? Running away only to come back?" The Moon Knight, still hunting, was frustrated. He could have killed the werewolves quietly, but now they were attacking the Avengers, forcing him to be cautious to avoid getting caught in the crossfire, slowing his progress.

"Stop it!" With their kin dying, Marius and the vampire duke finally ceased fighting, furiously charging towards the Avengers to stop the slaughter.

When the vampires were being killed, the duke had wanted to act but was stopped by Marius, who was happy to see the vampires suffer. But now, the tables had turned quickly.
