The next day, Chi Wuyao and the other witches returned to the Northern Divine Region.
Yun Wuji watched them leave and stood still for a long time. Although he was still going to be with them through his Devil body, he still felt he would miss them, especially Chi Wuyao.
When he is with her, he always feels a sense of comfort and being cared for. It was the same feeling Mu Xuanyin gave him, like having a mother and an older sister guiding him, supporting him through everything.
Although both Chu Yuechan and Mu Bingyun gave him that same feeling, the former was much younger than the other two, and the latter wasn't in that kind of relationship with him yet.
Even so, both women were very special to him. Whenever he felt lost, they were always there to guide him.
Although he never showed it, he was always under immense pressure. If he were to fail one day, the entire universe would fall into danger. His life, the lives of all living beings in the Primal Chaos and the Abyss, and more importantly, the lives of his women, all of it would cease to exist.
Even if Xiao Lingxi is still around, and in the worst-case scenario, there is a chance she could save the day, Yun Wuji would never allow things to reach that point. For the Ancestral Goddess to regain her full power, Xiao Lingxi had to die; only then would the final reincarnation be considered complete. But once Xiao Lingxi was gone, who knew whether it would be her will or the Ancestral Goddess's that took control?
As a man, how could he let his wife sacrifice herself?
Because of this, Yun Wuji knew that he could never hesitate or waver. No matter what he did in the future, he had to keep walking forward, for the universe he lived in, for his wives, for a happy ending, and for the greater good!
"It's time to meet my mother-in-law," Yun Wuji let out a long breath and muttered.
...
"Changsheng..."
In a quiet valley deep within remote mountains, a waterfall whispered its endless song, the sound of water echoing softly against ancient stones. Orchids swayed in the breeze, their petals drifting like silent dancers around an elegant tomb carved from the purest white jade.
The name 'Luo Changsheng' was etched into the surface, followed by the words 'Son of the Holy Eaves Realm, Pride of the Eastern Divine Region'.
Before the tomb, a haggard middle-aged man knelt, his voice breaking as he whispered, "It's Father's fault..."
"I shouldn't..."
"I shouldn't..."
"Why is it you who died? Why not a stupid bastard like me!?"
The man slammed his head against the ground, his voice a hoarse whisper soaked in anguish and endless regret. His shoulders trembled as his forehead pressed against the cold earth, blood smearing across the soil. Because of his stupid pride... he had lost his son.
He may not have been his biological son, but he was the son he raised and loved! The boy who brought him endless joy and pride, the one who made his dull life worth living. He was more than blood, he was his heart, his hope, the son he cherished more than his own life.
High above the clouds, two figures floated in silence, hidden beneath a faint blue light. Luo Guxie leaned against Yun Wuji's chest, her delicate figure trembling. Her palm pressed over her mouth as she cried softly, a quiet sob caught in her throat. A single tear slid down her cheek as she whispered, "Changsheng... my son..."
Yun Wuji patted her shoulder without speaking. He didn't say something hypocritical like "everything will be alright." He knew the pain of losing someone close. In this moment, the only thing he could offer her was quiet comfort.
The two of them were on their way to the Moon God Realm, as Luo Guxie and her "disciple" Fei Yang. On the way, Luo Guxie wanted to take a look at the Holy Eaves Realm to see her son from afar.
But when they arrived, they found out that he had already died. He killed himself.
The fact that he wasn't the person he thought he was his whole life... the fact that he was the son of a lowly 'peasant' from a low-star realm, was a devastating blow to him. But what truly broke him was his father's attitude. He had thrown him into a prison and left him there to rot like a rat. His father, the man who had always cared for him, had become so cold and unfeeling, as if none of it had ever mattered.
Whenever he came to see him, he would call him "dog bastard." That word, which pierced his soul like a poisonous dagger, was even more painful than being burned in a hellish fire. In the end, Luo Changsheng couldn't bear it any longer and took his own life.
"That's why being a tsundere is bad. Why can't people just be honest with themselves?" Yun Wuji stared at the man kneeling on the ground, his back hunched, his expression blank. Half his hair had turned white. It had only been a few months since he last saw him, but the man looked as if he had aged tens of thousands of years.
Luo Guxie stared at the tomb, the name Luo Changsheng etched into the pure jade surface. She once believed she had done well as a mother, showering him with love and guiding him with care. But when the truth came out, she realized that even with all her devotion, she had still hurt him, dragging him into her hatred, using him in her revenge, "Son... I am sorry."
Regret and guilt tore through her heart. Luo Guxie clung tightly to Yun Wuji, as if his presence was the only thing keeping her from collapsing. But what made her feel even more disgusted with herself was the twisted sense of relief she couldn't deny.
She felt relieved that the only thing reminding her of her past, the only proof of her time with Ning Danqing, had disappeared.
"Yang'er, you're the only one I have left," Luo Guxie lifted her head from his embrace and whispered in a hoarse voice.
"Hmm," Yun Wuji pulled her closer, patting her back gently to comfort her. "You may have lost your child, but we can have one of our own in the future."
"Really?" Luo Guxie's dim eyes brightened at the thought of having a child with her Yang'er, the crystallization of their love!
"Of course, we can have as many children as we want. You will give birth to a cute little girl like You'er, and we will raise her with all our love," Yun Wuji lifted her chin, pressed his forehead against hers, and spoke in a gentle, soft voice.
Although Yun Wuji didn't think he was ready to become a father, Luo Guxie was already an unstable woman. With the death of her son, she must have suffered a heavy blow to her mind. Yun Wuji didn't mind giving her a child to hold onto.
"A cute girl, hehe, our child with Yang'er, that would be wonderful," Luo Guxie wrapped her arms around his waist and closed her eyes, imagining the scene. Yun Wuji was playing with their daughter, chasing her in the garden, while she watched from afar with a gentle smile.
It felt like a dream. Could she really be this happy? Was she truly allowed to experience this happiness?
"Hmm, I'm looking forward to it too, having my own child," Yun Wuji said softly, kissing her lips lightly. His thoughts about children were complicated. He still felt like a child himself, and becoming a father seemed far away. But if it was for her, for his woman, he was willing to change.
"Having a child… but is it really possible?" Luo Guxie murmured, then opened her eyes and asked, "Your Dragon God Bloodline is so pure. I heard it's difficult for you to have children."
The dragons are powerful, but precisely because they are so strong, their reproductive abilities are incredibly limited. Especially the Dragon Gods, the Primordial Azure Dragon, Long Shen Yin, lived for over 30 million years, yet he had only one daughter, Shen Xi. He probably managed to have her only because of his primal Yang.
The Dragon Gods and those with their bloodline are guaranteed to have a child when they lose their primal Yang, the first time they lose their virginity. That's probably the last grace Heaven gave them to continue their race, or else they would have gone extinct.
"Yeah, probably," Yun Wuji said with a strange smile. "But we just have to 'work hard,' right, dear?"
Yun Che shared the same bloodline as him, and even after more than twenty years, his bloodline wasn't much thinner. He still managed to knock up three women. Yun Wuji could do the same if he worked harder, right?
If he really failed, he could always create a new technique, with his frightening genius, right?
"Hmm, it will take a very 'long' and 'hard' effort from you, Yang'er..." Luo Guxie's hand slid to his pants, gripping his dick as she whispered.
With the prospect of having a new child, the sadness for losing her son lessened quite a bit.
...
In the end, Luo Guxie chose not to kill her brother or massacre everyone in the Holy Eaves Realm to bury them with her son. After staying there for a while, the two of them left and headed to the Moon God Realm.
If the Star God Realm was the brightest and most dazzling star realm in the primal chaos, then the Moon God Realm was the most elegant and mysterious, bathed in the purest and brightest moonlight.
The first-time visitors would subconsciously think that they had stepped into a mysterious, illusory realm.
Outside the Moon God Realm, Yun Wuji and Luo Guxie arrived. Luo Guxie released her aura, announcing their presence.
All the King Realms in the Eastern Divine Region are closed realms, and while it's easy for some to sneak in because no King Realm keeps its barrier up all the time, Yun Wuji and Luo Guxie came for a formal visit, so it wouldn't be right to barge in directly.
"Who's there!?" The guards shouted vigilantly. Five of them appeared, each radiating a Divine King Realm aura. When they saw them, their expressions changed. "Fairy Guxie?"
"I came seeking audience with your God Emperor. Please relay my request and tell him it concerns him," Luo Guxie said calmly, her aura as a 10th level Divine Master Realm radiating without concealment as she glanced at the guards.
