Chapter 217 Team Members
Daniel considered her suggestions regarding team members and nodded as she explained her reasoning. He was somewhat surprised that the girl didn't know about medicinal herbs. However, He attributed her lack of knowledge to her being from a foreign land, as evidenced by the school-like outfit she wore. Although Daniel had seen similar attire in the city, he was certain that her clothes did not come from any school in this area.
After a moment of silence that made the girl nervous, Daniel finally spoke. "I don't think Ren has any current jobs," he said. "She could use some more 'outside' work. And Em, if she decides to go along, I'll probably assign someone to accompany her for protection. As for Rey, she can join your team unless she already has other plans. That would bring your team to four members if Rey decides to come along," he concluded, thoughtfully considering the other people he might assign.
Aleshia waited patiently while Daniel assessed who would accompany her group. Approving of his selectiveness, she allowed her mind to wander back to the memories she had yet to organize. She had been so busy with the Wolf Leader and the subsequent events, and now this new place and its misadventures.
While organizing her thoughts and memories, Aleshia was oblivious to the outside world and hadn't noticed Daniel had already returned from his thoughts. It was only when Lucia discreetly prodded her that she emerged from her introspection.
"It seems you're back from your thoughts. Did my silence bore you?" Daniel asked.
"No, not at all," Aleshia replied, managing to conceal her startlement.
"Alright then," Daniel continued. "You will be in a group of five, including yourself, or four if Rey decides not to join. You all will start the quest in the morning, as it would be dangerous to begin your adventure this late in the evening. I recommend you set out at first light. I'll inform everyone, and you can meet them near the door in the morning or discuss things beforehand." Daniel concluded.
Aleshia listened attentively to Daniel and responded, "Okay, I understand," once he finished. Afterward, she stayed with him to tend to the others in the room. Occasionally, she had Lucia use her regenerative magic to help. Eventually, Aleshia left and returned to her quarters. Not feeling tired yet, she decided to meet with everyone she knew to inform them about the upcoming trip. First, she sought out Ren, who she knew would be the most excited member of the group.
