"Ahh! That's Goku's ki… That's the power of Super Saiyan 2!"
Piccolo stood stunned, gazing in the direction of Goku's energy.
The sheer magnitude of it was overwhelming—dozens of times stronger than his own—and for the first time in a long while, Piccolo felt genuine fear.
"Damn it! How did the gap grow this wide again?! I finally started catching up!"
His fists trembled in frustration. But then a cold smirk appeared on his face.
"Don't get cocky, Goku. I can feel it—my potential's barely been scratched. I will catch up to you!"
With that, Piccolo turned his attention away from Goku and back to his surroundings.
He was hovering above a small town.
But there wasn't a single living soul in sight—just scattered, torn clothing.
It looked like people had been violently attacked, their garments shredded in the process.
Even stranger, the entire ground was covered in sand.
After observing carefully, Piccolo descended.
But as soon as his feet touched the ground, the sand around him seemed to come alive—clinging to his shoes and rapidly climbing up his legs toward his skin.
It felt as though something was gnawing at his flesh, though Piccolo didn't flinch.
"Heh… The people here probably died without ever knowing what killed them."
He sneered.
This wasn't ordinary sand. It was the deadly micro-organism known as the Greedy Sand Wyrm.
With no living beings left, the creatures had lain dormant—until now.
Sensing fresh prey, they moved in unison, trying to devour him.
"Hmph!"
With a sharp grunt, Piccolo released a surge of ki that blew the sand off of him and launched himself back into the air.
Hovering calmly above the town, he surveyed the sandy landscape.
"It looks like sand… but it's actually made up of microscopic, parasitic organisms. Invisible, and a pain to deal with. But if it can be killed, then it's no big deal."
With a cold smile, Piccolo extended both arms, palms pointed at the ground below.
"If everyone here's already dead, then I won't hold back."
He unleashed his power.
Suddenly, the ground outside the town cracked open—fissures spreading like living veins, forming a large circle around the town.
It was as if the town had been severed from the earth.
Then, the entire town and the land beneath it began to rise slowly into the sky.
But that wasn't all—soon the pace quickened, and it soared even higher.
It was all Piccolo's doing.
To ensure the complete eradication of the Greedy Sand Wyrms, he had lifted the entire town into the air.
With one hand stabilizing the floating landmass, his other hand began to charge a small yet powerful energy orb.
"AAAHHH!!"
Blue lightning crackled around him as he poured massive amounts of energy into his palm.
The orb pulsed and glowed red, trembling with destructive force. Each spark that leapt from it shook the surrounding air.
"Die!!"
Piccolo roared, hurling the energy blast into the floating town.
BOOOOOOM!!!
A blinding explosion erupted, engulfing the town in a wave of scorching destruction.
Buildings, streets, everything—obliterated in an instant.
And Piccolo wasn't done yet.
"Heh… I know damn well you microscopic freaks don't die that easily. So how about this?!"
He continued throwing energy blasts down from the sky.
Each blast didn't just explode—it merged into the original blast zone, intensifying the energy and heat. The explosion zone grew brighter and more violent with each strike.
Wave after wave piled into the previous one.
The destructive force multiplied—reaching over ten times the intensity of the initial blast.
At last, Piccolo placed both hands together, gathering his energy into one final, powerful orb.
He launched it directly into the pulverized remains of the town.
A sun-like explosion followed—blinding, radiant, and furious.
Even from hundreds of meters away, it was hard to keep one's eyes open from the light.
Though suspended high above, the shockwave reached the distant earth below, shaking and fracturing it.
The town, once sprawling, was reduced to nothing—not even rubble remained.
Just a deep, dark basin in the earth.
"It's done."
Piccolo muttered, barely reacting to the utter annihilation he'd just caused.
["Congratulations. Xenomorphs and Greedy Sand Wyrms from the Dragon Ball Universe have been successfully contained."]
A voice from the screen rang in his ear.
Even though the prediction broadcasts had ended, the screen still monitored containment and elimination events across the universes.
"Hmph. Looks like I wiped them all out."
Piccolo scoffed.
["Reward: Instant Transmission for Son Goku. Piccolo's strength increased twofold."]
Both Goku and Piccolo received their respective rewards.
["The Instant Transmission given to Goku originates from the Yardrat people of the Dragon Ball Universe. Unlike location-based teleportation, this technique targets specific individuals based on their ki signature."]
["You must first sense the target's ki. If they are in a location without detectable ki, or their energy is being concealed, Instant Transmission will not work."]
When the explanation ended, Piccolo immediately tested his power.
He could feel it—his entire body overflowing with strength.
"Tch. If I were stronger to begin with, a twofold boost would've been a real jackpot."
He muttered in dissatisfaction.
In the past, he might have been thrilled. But after witnessing the power of Goku and Vegeta, he knew he needed far more.
"Piccolo."
Kami's voice suddenly echoed in his mind.
"Kami, dammit! I never gave you permission to speak into my head whenever you feel like it!"
Piccolo snapped.
"Apologies, but I need your help. A town not far from you has been attacked by humanoid monsters. The citizens are being slaughtered. I need you to eliminate them."
Kami's voice carried urgency. He wasn't sure Piccolo would even agree to help.
"Hmph. You must be desperate if you're coming to me."
Piccolo sneered in disdain.
