ROOOOOAAARRRR!!!
The Calamity Eel howled in pain and rage.
It twisted and slammed its massive body into the seabed, triggering intense undersea quakes and creating monstrous whirlpools that stirred the ocean into chaos.
The ground beneath the Harvest Prawn cracked and collapsed, forcing its body to sink slightly and pause its assault.
Seven was dragged sideways by the violent current and couldn't maintain his Beam Cluster.
ROOAARR!!
Freed from the energy bombardment, the Calamity Eel charged at Seven in a frenzy.
As it closed the distance, it opened its colossal maw and unleashed a massive torrent of blue flames, engulfing Seven completely!
The searing heat made Seven's entire body ache. He quickly raised a barrier to protect himself.
Then, the Calamity Eel snapped its jaws shut around him.
Its intent was clear—using its more-than-100,000-ton bite force and razor-sharp fangs, it aimed to crush Seven to death.
Seven strengthened his barrier to resist the bite.
And indeed, the Calamity Eel's power was horrifying—the shield immediately began to crack.
It looked like it was about to shatter!
Seeing this, Seven took a deep breath and suddenly radiated blinding light from his body.
Then, he began to rapidly increase in size, prying open the Calamity Eel's jaws!
In the past, growing this large would've consumed an enormous amount of energy.
But now, Seven possessed unlimited energy, allowing him to enlarge at will.
He kept expanding until he was the same size as the Calamity Eel—and finally stopped.
ROAAAARRR!!
The Calamity Eel stared in shock.
It never expected that it had messed with such a terrifying foe—one capable of matching its own scale.
"Yah!!"
Seven summoned his now-enlarged Ice Axe and swung it hard, slicing deep into the eel's body—
Carving several massive, hideous wounds that gushed with blood.
ROOOAAARRR!!
The Calamity Eel screamed in unbearable pain.
But it didn't back down. It lunged forward and bit into Seven's arm.
The agonizing bite forced Seven to halt his movements.
But just then, the Harvest Prawn fired a gamma ray at the Calamity Eel's wound, making it howl and release its bite.
Seven turned and swung his axe with full force—
CHOP!
He severed the eel's lower jaw.
Now it had only half a mouth, looking even more grotesque and monstrous.
Seven then leapt back, raised his arms in an L-shape, and fired a Beam Cluster straight at the eel's head!
The Calamity Eel saw the beam coming and instinctively darted to the side.
BOOOOOM!!!
The beam still struck its former position, causing an enormous explosion.
The ocean floor split open with countless deep rifts.
So much water boiled that it created a momentary vacuum—soon refilled by surging water from all sides.
The shockwaves triggered countless vortexes.
If seen from above, the surface would look like the sea had grown a hundred swirling eyes.
As the blast faded, Seven immediately searched for the Calamity Eel—
But it had vanished.
"Where did it go?!"
Seven scanned the area in every direction, but the Calamity Eel was nowhere to be found.
He flew to where it had last been and noticed a deep fissure, with drag marks—something had slithered through it. And it was long.
Closer inspection revealed blood and chunks of flesh.
"It actually escaped... even in that condition?"
Seven was genuinely stunned. He hadn't expected the Calamity Eel to survive—let alone flee.
He immediately unleashed a telepathic search.
Sure enough, he found traces of blood and flesh stretching ahead—
But after a certain distance, they abruptly vanished.
The Calamity Eel had disappeared without a trace.
"Amazing speed..."
Seven was again taken aback. He hadn't imagined the creature could retreat so quickly.
Now, even if he wanted to give chase, he had no idea where to go.
"Damn it... I missed the perfect chance to finish it off. Who knows when the next opportunity will come..."
Seven clenched his fists, deeply frustrated.
He should've restrained the Calamity Eel's body first—ensuring it couldn't flee—before launching the final attack.
But now the moment had passed.
And no one knew when or where the Calamity Eel would return.
How much more devastation would it cause before then?
Sigh...
Seven let out a heavy sigh, regret weighing on his shoulders.
Then he turned toward the Harvest Prawn, who was slowly walking in a direction despite its injuries.
Its movements were sluggish from the damage it had taken.
"Wait!"
Seven called out and enveloped the prawn in a soft light.
The light held healing power, rapidly closing its wounds.
The Harvest Prawn sensed itself healing—
And gratefully nodded toward Seven.
"Are you going to search for it? You might die."
From the earlier battle, it was clear to Seven that the Harvest Prawn's power was far below the Calamity Eel's.
If it fought again, it would likely perish.
Yet the prawn simply nodded—unfazed by the danger.
"Why are you fighting it? For survival? Or to protect others?"
Seven couldn't help but ask, curious about the creature's determination.
But with no way to communicate, he wouldn't get an answer.
Still, the firm silhouette of the Harvest Prawn walking away said enough—
It would continue to fight the Calamity Eel no matter the cost.
"Sigh... If only I had a Monster Capsule on me."
Seven muttered to himself.
If he had one, he could store the prawn and call it out whenever needed—to fight together.
After finishing the healing, Seven shrank back to normal size and flew to the surface.
Earlier, due to the Calamity Eel's presence, the ocean's weather had turned catastrophic—
Tsunamis, tornadoes, and whirlpools everywhere.
But now, the sky was clear and peaceful.
As if the storm had never happened.
"So... does driving away the Calamity Eel count as a win for the Harvest Prawn?"
Seven thought about the creature's post-victory effect—when it wins, the flora and fauna within an 800-kilometer radius flourish for eight months.
That could greatly help resolve food shortages in many places.
