Dylan's heart sank to find Ryker standing in the hallway like a shadow that had been waiting all night.
Something inside Dylan snapped.
Without a second thought, he lunged forward, grabbed Ryker by the collar, and slammed him back against the sofa with force.
"Where the fuck is Olivia?" he growled, each word dragged through clenched teeth.
Ryker let out a short grunt, then shoved him off with a strength that made Dylan stumble slightly. It caught him off guard. Ryker wasn't just dangerous, he was prepared.
"Don't be a damn fool," Laura shouted, rushing over. "Is he the only enemy you have, Dylan? Think for a second!"
Dylan froze mid-lunge, his breath coming in sharp bursts. His glare stayed pinned on Ryker, but Laura's words struck him.
"Leave us," he said, his voice cold.
Laura hesitated.
"Now," he barked louder, and she backed off, eyes wide.
