Jimmy glanced at the road. Many people in Jersey City commute to Manhattan, so the traffic is much lighter during the day, with not too many cars on the road. When the car behind him pulled up alongside, he turned his head for a look, regretting that Heart Eye couldn't observe through the reflection of the mirror; otherwise, he could have made an earlier assessment.
The window on the right side of the car was already open, with someone in the passenger seat holding something, and a person in the backseat had already raised a hand out the window, a handgun in their grip.
