Jimmy followed the police car to the station, where they verified his identity and, after confirming there were no issues, did not restrict his movements.
Riley was the fastest; Newark is right on the western side of Jersey City, and the two cities are adjacent, so Riley was naturally familiar with the roads here.
Riley, "Hey, Jimmy. How are you? You hurt?"
Jimmy stood up from the sofa and shook hands with Riley, "No, I noticed before that they were following me, just didn't expect them to make a move before we even left town. Riley, you didn't have to come over. How's the bombing case on your end?"
Riley, "The forensic team is already gathering evidence and identifying the bodies. The explosion happened in a detached house, the neighboring properties weren't too badly damaged, two victims and three neighbors were injured."
Jimmy, "Is it related to the previous bombings?"
