POV Rio
It was the day of the Tournament of Power, and everything was going well. The Tournament was split into five divisions. The Apprentice Division. The Adept Division. The Experts Division. The Teams Division. And Lastly, the Master's Division. The Teams were for only team combat. The Master's was open to everyone, but that meant the power ceiling was massive. The other divisions were limited to those that met a certain power requirement. If you were too strong, you were moved to a higher division, until you were sent to the Master's Division. The reward was similar for every division.
'1 wish and a Summons Power Boost Card.'
But since the tournament was open to everyone power boost card could either be exchanged for a different reward or traded to someone for something. I read the registry and found an interesting detail.
'I guess I shouldn't be too surprised that the Apprentice Division has no summons in it.'
The summons that would fit into the category didn't join in the tournament. There were actually a few notable summons that didn't join. Nail refused, and Raditz almost didn't join, but he changed his mind when he was offered the chance to forfeit the reward. Raditz was arrogant but not in a rude way. He thought that if he joined the Master's Division, then he would win for certain.
'But I am not so certain about that. There is a certain warrior named Jackie Chun in this tournament.'
Another very notable group that didn't join was the Ginyu Force. Instead, they chose to run security and to be the host/announcers. I had to admit they were great showmen. I added a few interesting temp summons to the Tournament to make it more interesting. But I checked the time and saw it was time to start the opening ceremony.
Several Hours Later...
The Apprentice and Adept Divisions ended fairly quickly. The winner of the Apprentice Division was Kenichi Shirahama. A very capable warrior. Nawaki Senju won the Adept Division. The Expert Division was close, but Tempest Shadow was the ultimate victor. Her last opponent was Mace Windu.
'It was a really good fight, but in the end, her superior versatility won the battle. Mace had the speed advantage, but he couldn't outlast her, and her wide range of spells made it difficult for him to win the battle. There is a reason horses were used for long travel over people for centuries.'
What ended the battle was Tempest impaling herself with his weapon to grab Mace and then unleashing an overcharged lightning spell. It used every last bit of her mana, and she would have died if it hadn't killed him fast enough.
'She died mere seconds after he did. A close match indeed.'
The real focus was the Teams Division. So far, four main groups have been winning quickly. Team RWBY, Team Sarutobi, Team Titans, and Team Cynthia. Team RWBY had just defeated a team of Je'Daii led by Rahm Kota. It was time for me to make a statement on the match.
Rio: "An impressive match by both sides. The unique combos showcased by Team RWBY were creative, and I can see why they won. Team Kota performed admirably with their own teamwork, clearly causing many issues for Team RWBY. But I think you can understand why you lost."
Kota: "We were outmatched, plain and simple. They had better teamwork, and their abilities were varied but balanced. It was a good match. I do not doubt that we will take the lessons learned here to improve ourselves."
The crowd cheered, and the next match was prepared. The next match was the semi-finals. Team Sarutobi versus Team Titans. Team Sarutobi wasn't just Orochimaru, Jiraiya, Tsunade, and Hiruzen, but Minato was on the team as well. They would have been called Team Ninjas if there hadn't been another Ninja team. That team lost to Team Titans earlier. It had Shisui, Itachi, Neji, and Kushina. They fought well, but in the end, they were defeated by the only two surviving members of Team Titans. Raven and Robin.
'I was very impressed by that Genjutsu reflected spell Raven used.'
Team Titans only had the core 6 members of Robin, Starfire, Beastboy, Terra, Cyborg, and Raven. They proved to be very effective as a team. They had just recently joined the Imperium. They weren't needed for much hero work, but they did assist with policing and just general hero work. But despite everyone having opinions about who would win, I had a pretty clear idea who would win.
'Cynthia had beaten every enemy without using her whole team. In fact, she hasn't even used Mega Evolution or her ace.'
Not many paid much attention to her because her opponents weren't as flashy or well-known as the others. But I knew the end result. There was supposed to be another group that fought in the Teams Division, but I convinced them not to join this year's competition.
'That was especially difficult with those competition freaks.'
I had to work very hard to convince them that I wasn't doubting their abilities but that Twilight needed more time to heal.
'Ugh, at least they listened in the end. Even if I had to let that pink menace plan a party for me.'
I was both looking forward to and dreading what she was planning. I focused back on the competition. Team Sarutobi managed to win in a fairly quick amount of time.
'Minato is still very overpowered.'
The Titans were reduced to only three in the first minute. Robin, Raven, and Cyborg were the three who could react the fastest or had the training to predict the attacks. Then, while they were dealing with that, the Sannin entered Sage Mode, and Cyborg and Robin were dropped in a few seconds. Raven tried to fight but was hit with sealing techniques and lost most of her power. Then Raven realized she had lost and forfeited. The next match was even quicker. Team RWBY was annihilated by Cynthia's team.
'They had a logical idea, but unfortunately, Cynthia is far from a mere human. She could win the Adept Division by herself with few issues. She might not win the Expert Division, but she could make it pretty far.'
Team RWBY tried to take out Cynthia, thinking she was the leader and thus, if she was taken out, the rest of the team would be clueless. It failed miserably as Cynthia let them get close before Garchomp wiped them out with a Draco Meteor, followed by an Earthquake. Now all that remained was the finals.
'This will be very interesting.'
Minato could take out Cynthia if he is very quick about it, but if that fails, then the battle will be a battle of attrition. And in that case, Cynthia will win every time. Ninjas are not meant to fight for a long time, but more in short and very lethal combat. On average, a battle between ninjas only lasts a few minutes. A Kage-level battle may last longer on average, but it still wouldn't last insanely long. Pokémon can be said to be in a similar position, but they can use more powerful attacks for longer. And Cynthia's team is built perfectly so that she can cover almost any kind of elemental ninjutsu that the ninjas can use.
'And in some cases, they are immune to the attacks completely. Which makes their versatility drop quite a bit.'
Minato's main form of attack is a kunai, but that is not that effective against most of Cynthia's team, so he will have to rely on the Rasengan and other Jutsus. But I knew that it wasn't going to be a clean victory. No matter who won, they would lose members. The biggest loss that Minato and Sarutobi have to deal with is the fact that they can't use the Dead Demon Consuming Seal. It is a summoning Jutsu that requires a Shinigami, which we don't have. So they can't even use that to force a draw.
Amore: "Who is your pick for the win?"
Rio: "Teams would be Cynthia. For the Master's, it would be Jackie Chun."
She raises an eyebrow at my second pick.
Amore: "I admit he is impressive, but I haven't heard of him before. And the other fighters are very impressive. Raditz is the favourite to win."
Rio: "Indeed, he is, but Raditz will have to learn not to look down on others, even if it can be logical. But to be honest, it is possible Momonga wins the Master's Division due to his broken abilities. Raditz would struggle to kill him in less than 12 seconds. If he fails, then Momonga wins."
Her face scrunches up in thought when she thinks of Momonga's trump card skill. He hadn't used it yet in the competition, but she knew how it worked because I could use it as well. If you didn't know how it worked, it was beyond lethal. Several members of Ainz Ooal Gown were competing and performing very well.
Amore: "Yes, well, we will see. Now, look back at the Teams Finales. You will have to congratulate the victors. If Cynthia wins, I am sure you already know what she will want."
Rio: "Ugh, yes, she will ask for a battle. I guess my efforts to avoid the battle are going to end here."
I walk out to the stage and do something funny. I use my Canterlot Royal Voice.
Rio: "GO TEAM SARUTOBI! SHOW THAT BLONDE DEVIL THAT YOUR NINJA WAY IS THE RIGHT WAY!"
My voice was strong enough that it knocked over several people, and the fighting finales began once I made that announcement.
Ginyu: "It seems Lord Rio has a favourite to win this battle. Let us see if they can win against Team Cynthia's seemingly unstoppable team."
Unfortunately, my motivational speech didn't let Team Sarutobi get the victory. But Cynthia was forced to Mega Evolve her ace, and she lost her arm in the ensuing battle. The only other member of her team to survive to the end was Milotic. I congratulated the winner and comforted the losers, and sure enough, Cynthia requested to have a battle with me. I just gave a strained smile and agreed. She then did something surprising. She gave the Power Boost Card to Tsunade, who accepted it with no surprise. I narrowed my eyes and quickly found out what happened here.
'That coniving little gambler.'
Tsunade had made a deal with Cynthia before the Tournament to ensure that whoever won the tournament would help the other get what they wanted. Cynthia gets the battle, and Tusnade gets the card. I was both upset and impressed by the lengths Cynthia was willing to go to to get the battle she wanted. But I settled on using the Apple and launching Tsunade out of the arena and far into the distance. The next battle was the Master's Division, and as I anticipated, the top four were Momonga, Touch-Me, Raditz, and Jackie Chun.
'Too bad for Momonga.'
He was matched with Touch-Me and predictably lost. He didn't even bother using his trump card as he knew that it wouldn't work. The next battle was what I was waiting for.
Raditz: "Old man, you should retire now. It will save us both the time."
Chun: "Oh? Is that so? Well, I want to see what you youngsters can do these days."
Raditz: "Don't say I didn't warn you."
The battle is fairly ordinary for a time, but eventually Raditz gets mad that he can't seem to beat Jackie Chun quickly. So Raditz uses the Power Ball technique to unlock his Ozaru form. That caused the crowd to go wild, but it still didn't help him. He was stronger but also much bigger and a bit slower.
Chun: "Destructo Disk!"
With that one attack, Raditz was screaming in pain as his tail was severed.
Raditz: "Damn you old man! Take this!"
He uses a massive Ki Beam, and Chun responds in kind.
Chun: "KAME HAME HA!!!!!!!!"
The beams clash, and for a time, it seems like Raditz is winning, but that is reversed very quickly. He dodges and then makes some distance.
Raditz: "You are a great opponent. I can't defeat you as I am. So rejoice as I will honor you by using my most powerful technique."
Chun just stands and waits. Raditz gets into a squatting position and starts to gather his energy. The ground starts to shake, and rocks begin to float up near him. After some screaming, his hair turns golden, and his power jumps many times.
Raditz: "You now face the legendary Super Saiyan. Now let's get this started for real. Don't lose too quickly now."
He vanishes and reappears behind Jackie Chun, but his hand is caught. Raditz's eyes go wide.
Raditz: "T-t-that's impossible! H-how are you strong enough to stop me!?"
Chun: "Hmm, how indeed. But I think it's time we end this. So try not to lose too quickly."
Raditz is punched in the stomach and launched far away. The crowd was completely silent as they watched the battle. Raditz, even with his transformation, was not able to predict where the attacks were coming from, and he was being beaten badly. He tries to block a kick, but his arm is snapped in half.
Raditz: "ARGH! GET AWAY!"
A massive wall of Ki blasts Jackie Chun away, but that was only a temporary reprieve.
Raditz: "You left me with no choice, I will use my final trump card."
Raditz begins to scream, and then his golden hair elongates and his power jumps several fold, but it comes at a cost. He was losing power rapidly. He wouldn't last long in that form.

It also didn't help that his left arm was still broken and was barely operable. But even with the power boost, he was only able to match Jackie Chun and not surpass him. They both separated, and it was clear Raditz knew he had only one chance left. It was time for a final Ki beam attack. If it failed, then he would be done for.
Raditz: "THIS IS IT! TAKE THIS! FINAL DESTINATION!"
Chun: "KAME HAME HA!"
The two beams met, and even after Raditz poured every last bit of energy into the attack, he ran out of energy and was vaporized. The winner was Jackie Chun. But despite the victory, and even though the Rating Games left no lasting effects, Jackie Chun still chose to forfeit against Touch-Me. Leaving Touch-Me as the champion.
POV Raditz
I ran after the warrior I lost to, as I had to know why he forfeited. I found him right before he left and asked him why.
Chun: "Because I only came here to fight you."
Raditz: "What?"
Suddenly, his form changed, and after the smoke cleared, I saw someone I hadn't seen in years.
Raditz: "K-Kakarot! How?"
Goku: "Hehe, I was brought here by Rio to give you a little fight. I wanted to see how you grew since we last fought. When I was told that you changed, I wanted to see how. And I have to admit you have changed a lot since I last saw you."
Raditz: "But why?"
Rio: "I wanted to give you a match that really tested you and to give you a bit of a reality check. I noticed that you were getting a little caught up in your strength. Pride is fine, but Arrogance is unhealthy. Even if you are really strong, there will always be a bigger fish."
Goku: "He's right. I have lost many times, but I never put down my enemies. No matter how strong they are, I know that there will always be another stronger opponent out there to test me."
Raditz: "Sigh. I guess I have been a bit arrogant as of late. But I promise I won't let this happen again. And if it does, I have some friends whom I can count on to pull me back."
Ginyu: "That sounds like our cue!"
Recoome: "Heeyah! Recoome!"
Burter: "Kekeke! Burter!"
Jeice: "HAAAAA! Jeice!"
Guldo: "OOOOOH! Guldo!"
Ginyu: "Ginyu!"
Ginyu Force: "To-geth-er we are... The Ginyu Force!"
Multicolored smoke appears, and I clap. Raditz face palms, and Goku looks like he is thinking hard.
Goku: "Oh, I remember you guys. I think Gohan talks about you guys and your dance moves."
Ginyu: "Ah, that little Gohan? I am glad that he took out lessons to heart. Let him know that he is welcome to join the Ginyu Force whenever."
Rio: "Impressive choreography as always, Captain."
Ginyu: "Thanks, Lord Rio."
Rio: "Now, if you excuse me, I have some other matters I need to attend to."
Rio leaves, and I start chatting with them.
POV Rio
I leave to let Goku and Raditz catch up. I got Goku as a Temp Summon in the most recent Gacha. And he was here for a whole month, so I summoned him very recently. Goku wanted to fight me before he left, but I just took him into a rating game and killed him instantly. The fight confused the heck out of him, and he was both upset and happy with the fight.
'On one hand, he lost, which means I am stronger, but on the other hand, I won in a very obtuse way.'
But that didn't matter as now it was time for Arceus to go home, and I saw him off. But I noticed something very bad once he left. The portal he used was staying open, and I could sense something coming through. And I knew exactly what was coming through.
Rio: "Ah, biscuits. Well, it seems like there's no time like the present."
Cosmos: "Hello everybody, Lady Cosmos is comin' to town."
