At the camp.
The tents were arranged in a circle, and in the middle, a large carpet had been laid out.
On the carpet sat a long, low dining table. The members of the Dream Team, along with the woman who was injured last night, were slowly eating breakfast together.
The table was full of delicious food—fresh fruit, steaming bread, and all kinds of tasty spreads.
Everyone was enjoying the meal, savoring each bite with satisfaction.
A little over ten minutes later.
Nami put the long dining table back into her space.
The Dream Team members sat on one side, and the injured woman—whose name was Liv—sat quietly across from them.
She had just found out this morning that the people who saved her last night were none other than the famous Dream Exploration Team!
She was thrilled.
Now that breakfast was over, it was time for the others to find out what had really happened to her.
"Miss Liv, can you tell us how you managed to make it here while seriously hurt? This part of the sea isn't exactly safe, so we're really curious..." Robin asked directly, but her voice was soft and kind.
As soon as she heard Robin's question, Liv's mood grew heavy. Her eyes filled with sadness and helplessness.
But just a second later, she lifted her head. The sadness was gone, replaced by a burning hatred.
The look in her eyes was so full of rage, it was scary to even look at her.
"Of course I wasn't alone... there were seven of us who escaped together... but now… I'm the only one left... sob…" Liv choked up, her voice shaking with grief.
She couldn't hold it in anymore—and broke down crying.
Even though the members of the Dream Team didn't fully understand what had happened, they were still moved by how sad the scene was and did their best to comfort her.
A few minutes later, Liv finally calmed down.
She took a deep breath and slowly began to share what she and her six friends had gone through.
Liv came from the Kingdom of Magiatska, a medium-sized and wealthy country located between Punk Hazard and Dressrosa.
Her family used to run a fruit shop in a port city of that kingdom. After paying taxes, they still made a good profit every month, so life had always been happy and peaceful for them.
But as time went by and Liv grew up, that peaceful life started to change.
As Liv became more beautiful, she caught the attention of a nobleman from the country.
This noble wanted to buy her because of her looks, but Liv and her family strongly refused.
Still, the noble didn't want to give up and even tried to take her by force.
Luckily, Liv had a close relationship with a Marine Lieutenant Commander in town, which kept the noble from acting too boldly.
In the end, the noble was forced to back off.
But Liv never expected the real betrayal to come from her uncle.
Her uncle acted like he was close with Liv's family, but deep down, he was full of jealousy and greed. He had always envied their happy life.
Because he wasn't very capable, his own family lived in poverty. When the noble appeared, the uncle saw a chance to change his life.
He also knew that the Marine officer who cared about Liv had a long-time enemy—another Marine officer.
So the uncle contacted both the noble and that Marine rival, who shared a common goal.
That's how a secret plan full of lies and betrayal was born.
The rival Marine agreed to keep Liv's boyfriend busy so he couldn't interfere with the noble's plan.
The noble, on his end, used a trap carefully planned by Liv's uncle to quietly take Liv away without anyone noticing.
But the uncle didn't just stop there.
He made a list of greedy demands—he wanted a huge sum of money and even aimed to take over Liv's family fruit shop.
The noble agreed right away.
To him, money was just a tool. What he really wanted was power.
As time passed, the plan quietly went into motion.
The Marine who worked with the noble got a big sum of Berries from him.
He used part of it to bribe his superior, and with that, he was able to transfer Liv's boyfriend away from the port, so he couldn't protect her anymore.
At the same time, Liv's uncle used her trust to set her up.
He coldly sold her to the noble and left her with no way out.
Without the protection of the Marine officer, Liv and her family were completely helpless against the noble—like glass that could be shattered in an instant.
Even though Liv's parents tried everything they could, they still weren't able to save their daughter.
Not only that, they were also taken away by the noble and later sold off.
The fruit shop that had once belonged to Liv's family now belonged to her uncle and his family.
Liv fell into deep pain and despair. She couldn't believe her own family would do this to her. The warm and loving home she once had was now torn apart by greed and jealousy.
Behind it all was the hunger for power and desire, showing just how dark and twisted people can be.
But neither the noble nor her uncle expected that Liv would use her beauty to play along and fool the noble. In the end, she escaped from his castle with six other girls who had also been sold there.
After they got out, the noble sent people to chase them.
That was when Liv's boyfriend finally found out the truth.
The Marine Lieutenant Commander had always known that there were dirty dealings within the Marines.
But he never thought one of those things would happen to him, or that it would tear apart the family of the woman he loved.
So he immediately quit the Marines.
He took Liv and the six girls who escaped with her and left the Kingdom of Magiatska.
Before leaving, Liv swore that one day she would get revenge.
The six girls who had been sold to the noble's castle felt the same. Their hatred for the noble was just as strong as Liv's.
With that hatred in their hearts, the eight of them left the Kingdom of Magiatska and wandered the world for nearly ten years before returning again.
This time, they got their revenge.
They killed off the entire noble family, and Liv sold her uncle's whole family to slave traders.
But what they didn't expect was that the noble had ties to the royal family of Magiatska.
So after getting their revenge, Liv and her group were immediately hunted down by the kingdom's army. While running away, six of Liv's companions and her partner were all killed by the soldiers chasing them.
It happened in the sea not far from here.
Liv was the only one who survived because, during the final chase, a Sea King suddenly appeared and swallowed the pursuing ship in one bite!
After that, even though she was badly hurt, she managed to steer a merchant ship and made it here.
