After having lunch I went home to rest, Youngho and Jiyeon returned to work. I had just finished putting the twins to bed when I suddenly got a call from my lawyer saying the court hearing will take place in a week. "Everything will come to an end in just a week, hah? I see, thanks for the notice." I said hanging up and went to my bed to sleep. Three days passed, I received a call from one person I never thought I'll ever receive it from. It was from Park Ji-hoon, my soon to be ex-husband's father, soon to be ex father-in-law. "Hello, Haneh! It's Jungwoo's father speaking." he said in a very humble tone like when he used to talk to me. "Ohh! Abeoji, how have you been?" I was happy to hear from him, out of all the Park family members he was the one who cared for me a lot. I remember one time during my pregnancy when I wasn't feeling well and it was around midnight, he came running to take me to the hospital because Youngho was away on business and Jungwoo was nowhere to be found. Then while at the hospital Jungwoo finally answered his phone, he was angry at him.
He even asked him why doesn't he ask for divorce if he didn't to stay in our marriage and take responsibility of his doings. After what felt like an hour scolding him, he came to check if I was uncomfortable. The way he was acting you would have sworn he was the father, he even stayed up the whole looking after me. The following day I managed to convince him to go back and rest but before he left he said something that made my heart warm. He told me not to force myself to be happy in a marriage that makes me sad, and if my marriage makes me sad, its best to let go of it. Out of all the people who always visited me he was the only one to actually care about my well-being before asking about the babies. "Ohh! My heart feels happy when I hear you call me that, even when it's my son who wronged you." he said in a very happy tone, you could even hear how happy he was, just from listening to his tone. "Haneh! I heard Jiyeon saying you will be helping at the studio today so I wanted to ask if you can bring Ha-jun and Ha-eun to visit." his words came out gently, as though afraid to take up space with his tone reverent and humble.
"Ohh! Abeoji, you don't need to ask me when you want to see the twins. Just tell me when and where do you want to see them, and I'll bring them. I was even about ask Jiyeon if you are available so I can take the twins to see you. Then I'll be arriving at the house in 30 minutes to drop the twin." I said with my voice low and respectful then hanged up to get the twins ready. I went to notify my dad that I was leaving, then left for the Park's old house. We arrived at the old house and found a shocking scene, it was Abeoji pacing up and down in front of the front door. "Ohh! Abeoji, what got you so anxious? If someone saw you would have thought you are a high school learner waiting for his final results."I said as I got out of the car laughing. He rushed to the back of the car with a big smile on his face, then turned to look at me. "Haneh! Have you been well? You seem to have lost weight, have you been eating well?" he asked as he pulled me into his arms and patted my head. "Ohh! Abeoji, you are exaggerating. Last time you said that and I was weighing more than my usual weight." I said smiling because of the warmth I felt in his hug and words.
He always knows what to say and when to say it. We got the twins out of the car and headed into the house, the helpers followed with the rest of the things we left in the car. When we got into the house we found Madam Park and Jungwoo's mother waiting in the living room, and as soon as we got in the rushed to the twins. Picking them up from Jiyeon and abeoji's hands, I felt like telling them where to get off but I got a hold of myself for abeoji's sake. "Abeoji, I'll be taking my leave now. Please feel free to call me anytime you need help, there's an iPad in Ha-jun's nursery bag. It will tell you their schedule and things they can eat, if something happens please notify me immediately." I said handing him my emergency line and pointed at the blue bag to show him where the tablet was, then left.
