Chapter 68 - Chapter 68 - Apocalypse Instant Noodles Should Be Expensive, Right?

"Moriarty! How could you do this!"

Accumulation Vita (Orange) cried out upon seeing the scene. "Clearly... Clearly Righteousness and the others trusted you so much!"

"Haha, bad guys naturally have to do bad things, don't they?"

Moriarty looked towards the distant plaza. "What a wonderful view, allowing you to clearly see the little city agents being torn to shreds."

"What, not taking action? Great detective, and Mr. Helper brought by Sa's little dog."

"Moriarty! I'll settle the score with you later!"

Fu Hua wanted to rush down to save everyone. Of course, with Fu Hua's speed, she could certainly only save a very small number, but doing nothing would only lead to more sacrifices!

"Settle the score now. Why wait until later?"

Jun An stopped Fu Hua and stretched lazily. "I'll put in a bit more effort. Leave Froth's matters to me."

Vita was instantly astonished. "Even like this, you still have a way?"

"Just requires a bit more effort."

Jun An assumed a running start posture, and then his body began to rapidly transform. His height increased, Honkai Beast-like horns and a tail sprouted...

Fu Hua recognized it at a glance—this was the Captain's Artificial Houkai Collapse!

"0.2 seconds is difficult, but three seconds is more than enough."

Jun An pushed off with his feet. The ground shattered underfoot, the sound of breaking air echoed past their ears, and Jun An's figure vanished from the spot.

Boom!

Jun An's body shot through the complex streets like a supersonic fighter jet. In the blink of an eye, the Paradise Sentinels scattered by Moriarty and the Honkai Beasts generated within the town were all instantly smashed to pieces.

Because Jun An's speed was simply too fast, it was as if those Honkai Beasts and Paradise Sentinels exploded without any warning.

Then came another sound of breaking air. The massive body of the Judgement-class Honkai Beast crashed down, its head directly smashed off and thrown onto the cathedral roof.

Three seconds later, Jun An descended from the sky, landing beside the Grand Cathedral.

Everyone present, except for Fu Hua, was stunned speechless.

Honkai, flood, Paradise Sentinels—two out of the three threats were instantly resolved by Jun An!

"So cool..."

When had the two Little Vitas ever seen such a spectacle? They were instantly captivated by Jun An's god-slaying, buddha-blocking demeanor.

Even Moriarty was sweating profusely. "Vita, what kind of monster did you bring back?"

Vita couldn't help but marvel at her own good luck.

Jun An, however, punched Moriarty squarely in the face, knocking him out instantly before reverting to his original form. Unlike before, though, Jun An was now clearly panting heavily.

"Little Cyan, Little Orange, go tell the other agents to lead the city's populace to the museum! That's the only place to escape the flood!"

Jun An let out a long sigh. After watching the two Little Vitas leave, Jun An kicked Moriarty over to Vita. "How do you plan to deal with him? If you don't want to handle it, you can leave him to me."

Jun An wasn't some kind of saint; killing him directly wouldn't cause Jun An any psychological burden.

"I was the one who brought him here. I should do it myself."

After speaking, Vita pierced Moriarty's body with a floating dagger.

If it were the past, Vita would definitely have locked him back in the display case, cut off all his communication with the outside world, and let him stay in that display case for the rest of his life.

But Vita didn't have time for that now.

The Holy Relic had been activated, and she could feel Sa's power drawing closer. The final battle might be next. She didn't want to waste energy worrying about an exhibit at a time like this.

Looking at the increasingly substantial phantom in the sky, Vita asked nervously, "Do we have a chance of winning?"

"Don't know."

Jun An froze Moriarty's corpse solid, then pulverized it, leaving him no chance of revival. He then quickly devoured the head of the giant Judgement-class Honkai Beast to replenish the Honkai energy he had just consumed.

"Let's go. There's probably still some time before Sa gets here. Let's head to the museum and regroup before deciding anything else."

After making the decision, the three went off separately to help the Little Vitas evacuate the civilians, leading them towards the museum.

Because the museum was part of the Ark and didn't exist in the same spatial dimension as Froth, it wouldn't be submerged by the flood.

Fortunately, thanks to Jun An's warning, the residents of Froth managed to enter the museum in an orderly fashion to take refuge.

Upon entering the museum, Jun An immediately shook the rainwater off his body.

Although Jun An's body was resistant to cold and heat, the wind blowing was genuinely cold, and Jun An didn't particularly like cold environments.

Vita watched the somewhat cute little boy nonchalantly take out some crisp noodles and start eating, asking curiously, "Captain, has your strength really not even recovered to one-tenth?"

"Nope."

Jun An said, "What I just did was my absolute limit. If it were the old me, I could have dealt with all the Honkai Beasts within range directly, without needing to run around."

Jun An hadn't undergone the second metamorphosis surgery yet, after all; his upper limit was still much lower.

Vita asked curiously, "Aren't you able to devour Honkai Beasts? Why not just devour that Judgement-class Honkai Beast entirely to boost your power?"

"Devouring isn't very effective at raising my upper limit; it mostly enhances my offensive methods. Besides, I have other plans for what's left."

Jun An munched on his instant noodles and glanced at Vita. "Asking more questions will cost you. What you're asking are commercial secrets."

"But I'm penniless~"

Vita sidled closer to Jun An. "Can I pay with something else? For example, meat..."

"Sister Vita!"

Before Jun An and Vita could get intimate, the seven Little Vitas ran over together, greeting them.

But even though the seven Little Vitas saw her, Vita didn't hold back. Instead, she walked behind the chair and hugged Jun An, using his head as a breast pad.

"Hi everyone, long time no see."

Vita looked at the other Little Vitas who didn't know Jun An and said, "Let me introduce you. This is the one who just rescued you from peril and helped everyone deal with the Paradise Sentinels and the giant Honkai Beast. His name is Jun An, but he prefers people call him Brother Captain."

"Hello."

Jun An looked at the Little Vitas. "I'm the foreign aid your Sister Vita hired. No need to thank me; your Sister Vita paid the price."

"Price?" Substance Vita looked worriedly at the two.

"Don't worry. Apart from the first time hurting the body, the rest isn't so bad."

Vita explained, "It's just simple labor. Like how people need to work to get bread, I also have to work for the Captain to get his help."

Jun An added, "Like just now, you fell for Moriarty's scheme and activated the Holy Relic capable of destroying Froth. The price for me solving the problem for you is that your Sister Vita has to work for me for three days whenever I need her."

Hearing this, Prescience Vita (Blue) immediately apologized, "Sorry, Sister Vita. We didn't listen to your advice at first and just trusted Moriarty on our own."

"Mm, it's good that you know to listen to your big sister now."

Vita said with slight seriousness, "See? Big sister loves you all so much. Luckily, I'm your big sister; otherwise, others might not necessarily be willing to work for him for three days."

"Is the work very tiring?"

Substance Vita (Yellow) asked worriedly, "Then maybe we can help Brother Captain work too? After all, the disaster in Froth was because we gullibly trusted Moriarty."

Righteousness Vita (Red) also said, "That's right! Our mistake shouldn't be borne by Sister!"

The other Little Vitas also had determined gazes, seemingly resolved to help Vita share the burden.

Vita was suddenly troubled. Share the burden? Can the Captain's big thing even fit its head inside them?

"Let's talk about it after you become adults."

Vita said, "Besides, this isn't over yet. If we all perish, then naturally there won't be any work to do."

Vita helped massage Jun An's shoulders and asked, "Captain, by the way, how much time do we have left?"

"About half a day."

Jun An's mental perception could instantly cover the entire small planet, and he could feel an inhuman consciousness rapidly approaching.

That inhuman consciousness couldn't even be called consciousness anymore; it was more like a high-speed operating machine. Just like how the Herrscher of Sentience couldn't create illusions for Prometheus, mental attacks probably wouldn't be very effective against It either.

Vita... that wasn't what I wanted to ask.

Accumulation Vita (Orange) said self-reproachfully, "Compared to Brother Captain... this is our world, yet we're making you take the risks."

"Oh, I already said your Sister Vita will pay."

Jun An looked at the Little Vitas and asked, "By the way, why did you come looking for your Sister Vita?"

"We came to discuss the matter of supplies."

Governing Vita (Green) said, "The flood outside has submerged everything. The supplies we managed to bring down are very limited; what we have won't even last a day. Considering the long period of reconstruction afterward, we'll need even more supplies."

"Supplies..."

Vita instantly thought of the large pile of supplies Jun An had carried when he arrived. At the time, she had wondered why the three of them, who barely needed to eat, would bother specifically catching a large Honkai Beast just to carry things if it was only to satisfy cravings.

Now Vita understood.

She immediately sidled closer to Jun An. "Captain, there's still half a day left, right? How about we discuss the price?"

Vita thought to herself, Apocalypse instant noodles should be expensive, right?
