Chapter 418 - Chapter 419: Not a Justification for Becoming Food

Just as Alan was about to step into the bathroom, he stopped in his tracks after hearing that question.

He turned to look at the symbiote, whose mouth was stuffed full of chocolate.

Gwen wore a helpless expression. Lately, the symbiote had been acting more and more like a child—constantly telling her it was hungry and asking which people were bad and whether it could eat them.

If it weren't for Wanda helping to calm it down with chaos magic, Gwen might've had to fall asleep each night with the symbiote whispering "I'm so hungry…" nonstop in her ear.

"No. At least not on Earth," Alan said flatly, giving a short and clear explanation.

"Bad people will be punished, but that doesn't mean they're your food."

He had to make this point absolutely clear to the symbiote—just because someone was bad didn't mean it could devour them without consequence.

If that kind of logic held, then what about those Hydra members Tony had just taken back to the base? They were clearly evil—would that justify letting the symbiote feast on them?

If Alan agreed with that mindset, he might as well have brought the symbiote along to the Avengers base for a quick "snack."

"What about not on Earth?" the symbiote asked.

Gwen facepalmed the moment she heard this. "It's totally reminiscing about eating aliens…"

Alan raised his head and thought for a moment. "That doesn't really matter. We'll be heading into space again anyway, to meet up with Quill and the others."

After all, the Chitauri were nothing but mindless destroyers—if they were going to exist in the galaxy just to ruin things,

then they might as well become fuel for the symbiote.

Consider it the only good deed they could contribute to the universe.

Alan sat on the couch, watching the news as usual to pass the time. Gwen and Wanda sat on either side of him.

Fortunately, he had grown used to this kind of peaceful dynamic. Though, from time to time, the image of a certain goddess of death still crossed his mind.

If she were here, this quiet scene might not even be possible.

"Oh no… that's a terrible car crash!" Wanda frowned at the news report on screen. She looked worried for the driver,

wondering if he'd died on the spot.

"Car crash?" Alan stared at the TV in surprise, hoping the report would reveal who had been involved.

The airbag had deployed, the car itself dangled precariously at the edge of a drop, like it could plunge into the sea at any moment.

The windows were completely shattered, and the entire vehicle was so damaged it was barely recognizable.

Gwen furrowed her brows and shook her head. "The driver probably died on the spot. With that level of damage… if he survived, he's got heaven-level luck."

Alan focused intently on the screen, trying to see if they'd release any info about who was in the crash.

But the news said nothing—no clues, no names, no hints.

"Master, do you want to know who that guy is? I can find out," Red Queen suddenly appeared behind them.

Startled, Alan turned around sharply. "You can?"

Red Queen turned and retrieved a laptop from the room. Using her system access, she could instantly tap into surveillance cameras and vehicle black boxes.

In a flash, she had already pulled up the identity of the person in the crash.

"Stephen Strange…" Gwen murmured, glancing at Alan. "He's a genius in the medical field. This crash… it's way too suspicious!"

It wasn't hard to imagine—had Strange offended someone? Was that why the car malfunctioned so mysteriously on a road like that, at a moment like this?
