It was a dark and stormy night in Ryomania, the state of Piasu, city of Havok.
A new Syndicate constructed hospital had opened a week ago, and on this particular night a woman in labor was rushed in by paramedics to that hospital.
Doctors rushed her into the newly opened 'SYNDICATE GENESIS WARD'.
Nurse #1: "Heart rate's dropping! Prepare for emergency C-section—"

The lights died and for three seconds everyone including my parents held their breath.
When the lights turned back on... I was born.
Nurse #2: "Oh he's beautiful... His eyes are very... shiny?"
My mom, Eleanor Karawei snatched me from the nurse and cooed gently.
Eleanor Karawei: "Oh my dear baby boy... He's so beautiful! Honey, what should we call him?"
My father, Alexander Karawei who quite literally fell down stated almost matter-of-factly.
Alexander Karawei: "J-James... James Karawei."
The head doctor simply smiled and took his stethoscope off.
Doctor #1: "Congratulations are indeed in order... Although he has the most peculiar set of pupils I've seen that just means he has a bright future ahead of him!"
A man dressed in a full crimson suit with a matching fedora and a strange black mask on his face was silently watching from outside the room, upon seeing me he clapped. Quietly.
???: "James, we'll meet one day my dear boy... One day indeed."
Nobody in the room saw the man outside as he walked away.
???: "Come along Obie, you're about to be a father soon too you know."
A strange chubbier man in a black suit and matching fedora was leaning against the wall, eating a sandwich. He quickly wiped his mouth with the back of his hand as the other man approached.
???: "Eh sorry Boss, you're right... Actually I've been thinking of starting that diet we talked about. I suppose it wouldn't be too difficult, y'know actually the cholesterol buildup is a big problem, not just a me thing, happened to an uncle of mine—"
The stranger in red cleared his throat and crossed his arms, glancing towards the wall.
???: "Ah right, sorry Boss... Y'know how chatty a good sandwich makes me. Is the kid born by the way?"
???: "Yes. The plan will proceed, and you just like everyone else will also begin training. I heard some of the Angels call you 'Fat Man'."
The stranger in red said while tapping his foot impatiently, arching an eyebrow as he looked upon the man in black.
???: "Eh y'know, that's how kids are... Not like they're much better, the only fit guy among them is Rusty! Actually Hana is pretty fit too but—"
The stranger in red cleared his throat again and stepped closer, this time tapping his left hand on the wall.
???: "Right, sorry Boss... Man you know, we should get out of the office more often."
The chubbier man flipped his hand, the sandwich suddenly vanishing into his arm. A door on the wall formed, pristine mahogany with golden markings.
The stranger in red chuckled and stood in front of the door, letting his arms drop down to his sides. He adjusted his tie calmly.
???: "We don't, we train, we plan, we take control. This is only the beginning Obie. Our Genesis."
They stepped into the door to the side of the room and vanished, so did the door.
Then, and only then... I began to cry.
Ahem
So... yeah. That's kind of it.
Ikazuchi: "Wow, you're SUCH a great narrator... You're lucky I'm stuck with you or else I would've... would've... S-Shut up!"
Boy, you're a riot.
Oh don't mind the sword, I'll explain that later. Maybe.
Ikazuchi: "We both know you won't! And if you do explain this? It's going to take liiiike 200 chapters. Lazy bum... Hmph!"

Right. Okay so basically that guy in the red suit is... "The Boss". Yep. Weird name I know.
He's the leader of The Syndicate. The largest organization on the globe. They're basically like Amazon if Amazon was way way more mysterious and shady and actually had a hand in every damn trade known to man.
They've got toy stores all the way to military camps around the world.
It's safe to say that they're pretty popular.
A lot of people joined the organization annually, around 100,000? Yeah...
Mostly just small jobs like being a security guard or a scientist in one of their many labs, developing 'medicine' of course.
Although as you noticed... That fat guy made a door appear out of nowhere.
"How?" you ask.
Well, he has a Divinity. Yeah I know, big shocker... It's totally not in the title.
Ikazuchi: "Come on, hurry up! Just get to the part where you meet Jack. You're wasting my time AND theirs."
No I'm not! Time doesn't exist anymore. And they came here to READ Zuzu, something you clearly haven't done in a while... They don't mind If their time is wasted. I hope at least.

Okay so uh everything since the creation of man has been pretty similar to your world, other than the Divinities.

Thanks for reading the first chapter to my web-novel! Sorry if it's just a bunch of random nonsense... That's kind of the point. I was really inspired when I heard how the author of Re: Zero started out with a web-novel... That's exactly what I'm trying to do here. Lay out the story in this format before hopefully in the future adapting it into manga or even anime. And I do have more inspirations for all my ideas but I won't mention them here.
By the way the art unfortunately is unfortunately A.I generated. I am learning how to draw and even learning Japanese at the moment but these things obviously take time, so for now... This should be enough, atleast to get the main ideas across.
