The air went completely still.
Selina narrowed her eyes slightly, a half-smile playing on her lips.
Riley waved her hand as if flustered. "Sorry, sorry, I spoke without thinking. Logan, you and Selina can handle this between yourselves. I'll take my leave."
She turned back just before leaving, as if suddenly remembering something. "Oh, Logan, the most important thing between a married couple is trust. If you're hiding things from Selina… never mind, I won't say more."
With that, Riley fled the scene like she'd just dropped a bomb, awkward and worried, as if she'd accidentally exposed a secret.
Grandma Perry waved dismissively. "I'm not getting involved in Nelson Family drama. Riley showed up unannounced today—would've been rude to turn her away. Selina, don't let what she said get to you."
Selina nodded and left with Logan.
