Angelica deliberately chose a large public hospital, knowing that the high foot traffic would ensure news of her pregnancy spread quickly.
When Joe arrived at the hospital room, he found Angelica lying weakly on the bed, her face streaked with tears.
"Dad..." she whispered, her voice trembling.
Before she could say more, she began to gasp for air. Grandma Morris stepped forward, her expression stern.
"Angelica, this child must be terminated," she declared.
Angelica sobbed uncontrollably. "Grandma, please, don't do this. I don't want to lose this baby..."
