While CCPD and Team Flash were busy trying to find the Girder, another Meta Human started his terror.
Barry is called to a crime scene where a body burned to a crisp is found near an electric grid.
When Barry arrives at the scene, he immediately notices the signature of arc blasts on the ground, and having recently refreshed his memory regards the TV show, he already knows which Meta Human is involved in this crime.
He then gives Joe and Eddie a short briefing about what happened here. He also tells Joe that he suspects a Meta Human involvement.
"What happened to that Meta Human prison?" Barry asks Joe when they find themselves alone.
"I did put the plan forward. Now it's up to the city to decide," Joe says.
Barry nods and continues with his work. He doesn't know how long it will take for the city to approve the prison, but he hopes they do it at the earliest.
After the body gets collected by the forensic team, Barry returns to CCPD to finish work and file all his reports before heading back to S.T.A.R. Labs.
At S.T.A.R. Labs, Barry finds Cisco fiddling with something on his computer.
"Cisco, I wanted to ask something," Barry questions.
"What is it?" Cisco asks while his eyes are still fixated on his computer screen.
"Can you make Meta-damping cuffs?" Barry asks, which immediately grabs Cisco's attention.
"What do you mean by Meta-damping cuffs?" he questions.
"You know, a guff that can dampen a Meta's power. It would save us so much time and also reduce a lot of collateral damage. I could just run in at super speed, cuff them and bring them back here," Barry says.
As Cisco listens to Barry's idea, his brain starts churning ideas.
"That's an incredible idea. If I can replicate the containment field's technology into a much smaller form factor, it should be possible. I will get right to it," Cisco says, and already starts running simulations on his computer.
Barry smiles. He just nudged Cisco into making something before time, as Barry needs everything that he can use to keep everyone safe, and these Meta-damping cuffs would be very essential in keeping the city safe from Meta-Humans.
But it's not just Meta-Humans that Barry needs to worry about. This universe is different from the one in the TV show, so the biggest threat Barry would face would be literal gods like Darkside or an army of Kryptonians.
Speaking of Kryptonians, Barry wonders where is this world's version of Superman? An element like Superman missing is of huge concern.
And it's not just Superman, he has not heard of Wonder Woman or Green Lantern. These are powerhouses that the world needs to protect itself from literal god like aliens.
'One step at a time,' Barry thinks. He is no longer just concerned about assimilating to this world, he is already planning for the future and the threats that are on the horizon.

It's late at night, and the team is trying to figure out the new Meta's origin and powers.
With some hints from Barry that are not too obvious, the team manages to narrow down to a handful of suspects, when suddenly something happens.
The alarm system goes off.
"The Petersburg Grid is experiencing a power drain right now," Caitlin warns Barry.
"Getting to it," Barry says, and the suit on his mannequin immediately disappears along with Barry.
The Flash crosses incredible distances within seconds. Breaking physics with the help of his power.
The Flash arrives at the Petersburg Grid, but instead of stopping and confronting the Meta face to face. The Flash runs around the grid to locate the Meta and check if there is anyone else in the vicinity.
Once he clears everything, he runs towards the Meta at super speed and punches him with just enough force to knock him out cold.
The Flash doesn't waste his time talking and give the Meta-Human a chance to zap him, even though the chances of catching him with one of these lightning strikes are near impossible. The Flash won't take such chances.
Flash finally stops and looks down at the Meta-Human. He looks to be in a very bad shape, so without wasting a single second, Flash grabs the Meta-Human and runs back to S.T.A.R. Labs.
He directly runs to the containment area, puts the Meta-Human in, and closes the containment room's door.
Before running back to the Cortex, before his team.
Barry stops, causing a burst of air that makes papers fly everywhere.
"You are back already?" Cisco asks.
"Check the containment cell," Barry says with a cheeky smile.
Cisco, curious, turns on the containment cell and finds the Meta-Human locked inside, slowly coming back to consciousness.
"Is that the Meta Human?" Cailin asks. She, too, is surprised by how quickly Barry dealt with this meta-human.
It hasn't even been five minutes.
While Caitlin and Cisco admired Barry's ability, Dr. Wells stared at Barry with cold eyes.
'He is already fast enough. Time for me to make my move,' Dr. Wells thinks.
