Mu Can had already decided not to give the man in black any chance to attack. Against a Martial Saint at the Peak, his Fire Dragon's threat was reduced to almost nothing. However, Mu Can's intention was not to use the Fire Dragon to attack. His purpose was simple; first, to use the light produced by the Fire Dragon to disperse the darkness on the platform. This was achieved as soon as the Fire Dragon appeared, shining like a tremendous torch that turned the dark platform as bright as day.
With daylight, the darkness had nowhere to hide, and the man in black could no longer use it for cover, revealing himself slowly.
Mu Can's second goal was also simple. The Fire Dragon stemmed from his internal power. He was not using the Fire Dragon's attacks but utilizing it to sense the location of the man in black. Any energy fluctuation inside the Fire Dragon could be quickly sensed by Mu Can. Any energy fluctuation pinpointed the location of the man in black.
