Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Void Sovereign Falls

In the heart of the Eternal Plane, where stars bowed and dimensions trembled, Su Chen stood at the peak of the world.

He was the Void Sovereign, master of the Ten Thousand Realms. His gaze alone could collapse space. His voice could silence gods.

Before him floated the fractured remnants of reality itself—three Eternal Relics, suspended in an array of golden runes. His long black robes danced in the void wind, his eyes glowing with violet light. Every thread of his being pulsed with boundless power.

Centuries of conquest. Millennia of cultivation. He had finally broken through the shackles of fate.

Today, he would ascend beyond eternity.

"At last," Su Chen whispered. "No heaven, no law, no tribunal shall bind me."

And yet, as he raised his hand to merge the final relic into his soul, the sky—if such a thing existed in the void—ripped apart.

"NOW!"

A roar echoed across space. Five auras surged from the darkness behind him—each one belonging to someone he once called "brother."

Su Chen turned.

There they were. Li Xuan, the Silent Blade. Mo Yanjing, the Flame Prophet. Tang Yue, the smiling viper. And worst of all, Qing Mei—his own Dao Companion, her sword now pointed at his heart.

"You... planned this," Su Chen said, voice calm, but his eyes burned. "For how long?"

Qing Mei's expression didn't falter. "Since the moment you surpassed us."

Li Xuan stepped forward, eyes devoid of remorse. "You wanted to shatter the heavens. We only wanted to survive them."

Mo Yanjing flared with fire. "No man should possess the power to reset reality."

Reset reality? So that was it.

They feared what he might become.

Su Chen's fingers clenched. "So you kill me now? When I've brought peace to the realms? When I spared you from annihilation again and again?"

"You spared us because you were merciful," Tang Yue said softly, her fan fluttering open. "Mercy is a weakness."

They struck without further words.

Five divine attacks, each capable of annihilating galaxies, converged on Su Chen.

He resisted.

The void screamed. The stars shattered. Dimensions wept.

Su Chen's aura erupted, dark and eternal, swallowing three of the attacks in a storm of violet-black flames. But Qing Mei's sword pierced through the cracks in his defense—right through his heart.

And then, Li Xuan's soul severing technique landed.

The pain was unlike anything he had ever known.

His cultivation crumbled.

The relics shattered.

Time froze.

His thoughts began to scatter, like ash in a storm.

But just before oblivion took him, a voice echoed in the depths of his soul.

A chill shot through him.

The world was turning dark. He couldn't feel his body anymore.

But that voice... so calm, so mechanical...

A system?

He had heard legends of such things. Forbidden tools from before the Eternal Laws. But this one... was buried inside him?

Was this his true legacy?

Was this... his second chance?

As the five traitors closed in to finish the job, Su Chen smiled through the blood spilling from his lips.

"Y."

[Welcome, Void Sovereign... to the beginning.]

The void twisted.

Reality shattered.

And Su Chen—

—died.

He awoke gasping.

His body was smaller. Weaker. Familiar and yet distant.

He was lying in a bed of straw, in a rundown temple on a hill overlooking a dead forest. His hands trembled—not with weakness, but with rage.

Su Chen sat up, eyes narrowing as fragmented memories returned.

This was... the Mortal Realm.

He was sixteen again.

Just a nameless orphan in the outer continent. Just days away from being sent to the Crimson Serpent Sect as a mere servant.

The exact moment when everything began.

A low chime echoed in his mind.

Su Chen's lips curved into a cold smile.

So they thought they had killed him.

Let them think that.

This time, there would be no mercy.

No love.

No hesitation.

The Void Sovereign had returned.

And this time, he would burn the heavens to ash.
