After Daniel left, a slim man with gold-rimmed glasses stepped out of the office holding a document.
"Ashton, the meeting's about to begin. Why did Mr. Wilson leave?"
"Kane and Stephanie are missing. He's out looking for them. Mr. Jude, please handle the meeting from here."
Jude frowned. He didn't like what he heard.
He was talented and capable, but also very logical and stubborn. When he first graduated, he refused to work under Daniel. He wanted to build his own career.
Later, he finally agreed to join Daniel's company. But even then, he acted strictly as an employee. Most people didn't know they were related.
Jude always talked to Daniel formally at work.
Jude was a workaholic. All he cared about was work. So he couldn't understand Daniel's actions.
How could he leave the office just for his kids? That's careless and irresponsible. I'm not happy about this at all, he thought.
