He turned his eyes to Ogain. "Beasts like griffins... and dragons… they can track the blood bond. Through any realm. Across the deepest shadows. Even in that place." His gaze slid back to Ren. "If you enter the Gods' Prison, your griffin can find him."
Ren's eyes snapped to the platform. Her heart beat faster with a reckless kind of hope. "Can you make a portal to that realm? From here?"
A dry, humorless smile flickered on his lips. "I am a demon god, girl. Have you ever known a demon foolish enough to enter that wretched place of his own will?"
His voice cracked like stone. His eyes, though timeless, flickered with something that looked very much like fear. She couldn't imagine seeing a god fearing another gods realm.
Ren's face darkened. "Then how do I enter the prison?" Her words carried desperation like that cold.
