Chapter 129 - 115: Never Seen Such a Scary Easter Egg!!!

Ancient Leviathan?!

Upon seeing the title of this video, players were instantly reminded of the massive skull discovered in the Lost River in Deep Sea Trek, and how even the Ghost Leviathan in front of it looked like a spicy stick in comparison—small and cute.

Who would've thought the dev actually brought the complete Ancient Leviathan to life?!

Fueled by excitement, viewers clicked in immediately.

In the video, streamer Tender Tomato is seen piloting the Cyclops, heading into the vast, endless ocean, accompanied by his narration:

"Hey everyone, I've been trying to explore the outer boundaries of Deep Sea Trek for a while now. I want to see how big this map really is—just how far the dev pushed the limits.

"But I always ran into energy issues. Even with a dozen power cells, I'd run out of juice before ever reaching the edge of the map.

"Now though, we've got ion batteries—essentially infinite energy! So I've loaded up a dozen of those, and we're trying again!

"The plan is simple: sail in a straight line and see if we hit the edge of the world!

"Let's do this!!!"

With that, Tender Tomato begins sailing south in the Cyclops.

"Since this journey could take a while, I'm speeding the game up 10x!"

The time counter in the top-right corner ticks by, and Tender Tomato sails continuously for nearly eight in-game hours.

Eventually, the environment changes—the coral reefs and sea life vanish. There's nothing left but a deep, dark ocean.

"Damn, Tender Tomato really sailed for eight whole hours. Respect!"

"Looks like there's nothing but seawater now. It's eerie out here."

"Pretty sure the dev just looped the textures to make it seem like you're still moving."

"Still, eight hours to reach the edge? Not bad. The dev put some serious size into this map."

Viewers chimed in, impressed.

Most experienced players guessed the dev likely looped assets to create the illusion of progress—a common trick used to save resources. No matter how long you sail, you won't reach a "true" edge.

To confirm this, Tender Tomato continues sailing for another 30 minutes—still nothing but endless ocean.

"Alright folks, here's the verdict," says Tender Tomato. "You can reach the edge of the map. Took about eight hours of sailing on the Cyclops."

"But is that it? Of course not. This is an ocean game. Let's see how deep this sea goes!!!"

With that, he begins descending—straight down.

"Man, Tomato's going all in!"

"Respect. This must've taken so long to record!"

"Mad props!"

As the Cyclops dives: 500 meters… 800… 1000 meters…

The screen turns pitch black. The Cyclops' headlights are swallowed by darkness. Even sonar stops working—no fish, no rocks. Nothing to bounce off.

"You've entered the no-man's zone. Ahead lies endless abyss and danger. Please return immediately."

That warning, delivered in-game by Selene (originally "Chang'e"), rings out.

"Whoa, even Selene is warning us! This place is messed up!"

"I'd be terrified in this spot… sonar's useless!"

"It's like staring into hell!"

Still, Tender Tomato ignores the warning and keeps diving.

"Pro tip: Only use the Cyclops down here. It has an energy shield and won't collapse under pressure. The Seamoth or Prawn Suit would be crushed instantly!"

Soon, the Cyclops passes 2000 meters… then 3000… then 6000.

After nearly an hour of descent, the depth exceeds 10,000 meters. Selene keeps issuing increasingly urgent warnings.

"At this point, the dev probably just looped textures again—no bottom in sight."

"Didn't you read the video title? There's supposed to be an Ancient Leviathan here!"

"Still, props to Tomato. I'd have quit way earlier!"

"Yeah, an hour of darkness and silence? That's psychological horror!"

Then suddenly:

"ROOOOAAAARRR!!!"

A chilling roar pierces the silence.

"What the f— was that?!"

"That's a Ghost Leviathan's roar!"

"Wait, there's more than one!!"

Suddenly, glowing blue lights appear in the abyss. The source? Three full-grown Ghost Leviathans, each nearly 100 meters long, swirling and roaring as they charge toward the Cyclops!

"Oh no, three at once?!"

"Tomato, run! You can't fight even one!"

"The dev definitely put these here to stop curious players from exploring too far!"

"Yeah, a forced plot-kill is probably coming."

Then someone notices something.

"Wait… what's that behind them?!"

In the shadows behind the Ghost Leviathans, two enormous green lights appear—round, glowing like deep-sea lanterns. They dominate two-thirds of the screen.

They're massive—even from far away, they appear larger than the Ghost Leviathans.

"Holy crap… those things are HUGE."

"They look like giant underwater caves!"

Then, an earth-shaking roar thunders through the sea—far louder than anything before.

The screen vibrates. The audio echoes. The three Ghost Leviathans stop attacking and begin to flee.

"Wait… those weren't two creatures… those were its eyes."

A monstrous, nightmarish fish face slowly emerges from the depths, filling the entire screen. The audience suddenly understands:

There's only ONE Ancient Leviathan.

And it is bigger than everything else in the game—combined.

The "two caves" were just its eyes. It dwarfs the Ghost Leviathans like they're worms.

"What the hell is that thing?!"

"Even calling it a Leviathan feels wrong. It's like… a sea god."

With another roar, the Ancient Leviathan opens its mouth—a gaping black hole. It twists the water into a swirling vortex and sucks everything in.

The Ghost Leviathans vanish instantly—sucked in like noodles.

"No! Nooo! AAAHHH!!!" Tender Tomato screams, desperately trying to steer away.

But it's too late. The entire screen turns black as the Cyclops is swallowed whole.

Then—

"You are dead."

The game returns to the main menu.

Silence.

The chat goes wild.

"What the ACTUAL hell?!"

"That thing was bigger than the entire Lost River skull!!"

"This is the scariest sea creature I've ever seen."

"The dev really made a nightmare come to life."

Tender Tomato's voice comes back:

"Folks… that was the Ancient Leviathan Easter egg hidden in the no-man's zone."

"I was just trying to test the map's limits—and found that instead."

"When I saw that thing… that massive face rushing at me with no end in sight… I legit couldn't move from my seat for two hours."

"I'm serious—if you're easily scared, do not go looking for this thing. It's more terrifying than the Death, Ghost, and Sea Dragon Leviathans combined.

I'm not kidding. It could give you a heart attack."

The audience agreed:

"Tomato didn't need to warn me—I ain't going anywhere near that."

"This thing's scarier than any horror game jumpscare."

"Watching the video was enough for me. Never doing this myself…"

"Not unless I lose a bet."

Unsurprisingly, the video exploded in popularity—and confirmed what fans had suspected for a long time: Yes, the Ancient Leviathan was real. And it was terrifying.

But that wasn't the only surprise.

At the same time, another YouTuber, Pure White, dropped a new video titled:

"Disable the Pioneer Cannon Early in New Game+ to Save the Fireworks? [High-Emotion Ending]"

A clear reference to one of the saddest moments in the game—the destruction of the Fireworks ship.

The video opens with Pure White explaining:

"As we all know, after a while in Deep Sea Trek, the Fireworks contacts us and arrives to rescue the player. But before it lands, it gets shot down by the Pioneer Cannon, killing everyone aboard.

"So what happens if we disable the cannon before the Fireworks arrives?

"Can it land safely? Can we leave the planet with them?

"Let's find out!"

He then shows that he's already cleared the infection and shut off the Pioneer Cannon in New Game+. The Fireworks sends a message—it's on its way.

"Now, let's see what happens!"
