The air picked up around Kael as he flew through the clouds. Moisture tapped lightly against his face as the clouds parted around him.
He could see the lights of the city far below, but from up here it all seemed so insignificant. Were there really a million people down there, each living their own lives? Were there really that many people with their own worries, their own families, their own issues?
This thought escalated the gravity of the situation. These were all people. Just like him.
And they all needed help. They needed to escape this horrible hellish life that they lived. The Outer and Middle Ring deserved an uprising against the nobles and the officials and the Royals who all held so much power over them.
They deserved this freedom. And Kael was going to help them get it.
This mission was important. Another step forward with the rebellion.
He flew past an obsidian gate, and the Royal Spire loomed in front of him.
His destination.
Kael began his descent.
