At that moment, all eyes turned to Principal Sekiguchi Seiji, waiting for his response.
"If both Gojo Satoshi and Kyoto agree, I don't mind," Sekiguchi said nonchalantly, sipping his tea as if it had nothing to do with him.
Yagyū Hidetsugu nodded and turned toward Gakuganji.
"I have an opinion. I do not agree with this!" Gakuganji said expressionlessly.
"It's undeniable that Gojo Satoshi is extremely powerful. But our own Kyoto students also have the ability to win the goodwill event. We don't need to rely on him."
To him, seeking outside help for his own school was disgraceful as an educator. He had already criticized Yuki about it ahead of time, even if she just stuck out her tongue and laughed it off.
Call it stubborn or traditional, but as the principal of Kyoto Jujutsu High, he would never allow such a thing.
"That's right. Gojo Satoshi shouldn't participate," someone echoed excitedly. "Even the Kyoto principal opposes it!"
Seeing that things were going his way, Yagyū Hidetsugu smiled. "It seems everyone is against Gojo Satoshi joining Kyoto's camp. In that case, the General Directorate will not allow it."
Zenin Ogi beamed with satisfaction, throwing a surprised glance at Yagyū Hidetsugu.
He didn't expect Hidetsugu, who had always leaned subtly toward the Gojo family, to make this decision.
Gakuganji sighed in relief.
If Gojo Satoshi represented Kyoto and they won, the credit would go to Satoshi. If they lost, the embarrassment would fall on Kyoto High.
He'd rather lose with his own team. Besides, without Satoshi, they might not necessarily lose.
"Heh." Sekiguchi sipped his tea calmly, completely detached from the situation.
The Gojo clan representatives, however, looked confused.
Zenin Ogi's smug smile was practically radiating from his face, while the Gojo side's expressions darkened.
Just as they were about to speak up again—
"But, this meeting is not over yet," Yagyū Hidetsugu suddenly added.
Everyone froze and looked at him in confusion.
Wasn't the matter settled? Why was Hidetsugu keeping them here?
Their brows furrowed, eyes shifting toward him in doubt.
Zenin Ogi felt a strange sense of unease rise in his chest.
Even Gakuganji frowned, clearly unsure what Hidetsugu was planning.
Seeing the attention on him, Hidetsugu calmly picked up a document and instructed it to be handed out to everyone.
"There is another proposal. It also concerns Gojo Satoshi." Hidetsugu's voice was pleasant, almost casual.
Zenin Ogi's frown deepened as he glanced at the paperwork.
What the hell is Gojo Satoshi trying to do now?
He looked down at the document—and then froze.
His expression shifted to utter disbelief. "Has Gojo Satoshi lost his mind?"
The others immediately turned to their own copies. After reading for a few seconds, their eyes widened in shock.
"Gojo Satoshi wants to act as a third party… and fight against both Kyoto and Tokyo teams simultaneously?!"
But seeing Sekiguchi Seiji and Hidetsugu still calmly sitting there, everyone took a deep breath.
Are they... serious?
Everyone stared at the document, stunned.
Gojo Satoshi, are you insane?
Even if your Zanpakutō is powerful, isn't this too arrogant?
Gojo Satoru and Suguru were not just Special Grade—they were the strongest pairing of their generation. Their synchronized teamwork had shocked the world during past events.
Kyoto Jujutsu High wasn't weak either. Iori Utahime's raw combat power may have been slightly lower, but her Cursed Technique could enhance the strength of her allies' techniques.
If she chose to support Gojo Satoru, even with Satoshi's Zanpakuto, there was no guarantee he'd win—especially with Satoru's Limitless.
...
Zenin Ogi let out a low, angry laugh. "Is Gojo Satoshi desperate to hog the spotlight? Does he even realize who he's up against?"
He didn't underestimate Satoshi.
But this year's event lineup wasn't made up of weaklings. These were elite sorcerers. Every one of them could operate near the peak of their strength.
Did Satoshi really think he could face all of them at once?
He's just asking for trouble.
Zenin Ogi slowly raised his hand. "On behalf of the Zenin clan, I approve this proposal."
Everyone was briefly stunned, but soon a wave of thinly-veiled amusement rippled through the room.
Zenin Ogi agreed?
He's never agreed to anything involving Gojo Satoshi before…
They shook their heads.
He must be waiting to watch Gojo Satoshi embarrass himself.
In their hearts, they felt both pity and admiration.
Satoru and Suguru's teamwork had always been greater than the sum of their parts.
Three ordinary strategists could outperform even a master tactician. Sometimes, sheer numbers couldn't be overcome.
The Gojo clan members at the meeting were dumbfounded by Satoshi's proposal. They exchanged glances, unsure whether to agree or oppose.
Confusion lingered on their faces.
Gakuganji's face was livid, veins throbbing at his temples.
"So he's not allowed to fight for Kyoto, so now he wants to beat up Kyoto instead?"
"Tokyo's team alone is enough trouble. Now he wants to fight both?"
"What an arrogant bastard…"
His voice then turned sharp and decisive. "Kyoto High agrees to Gojo Satoshi's proposal. But as the Kyoto High Principal, I vow—we will defeat him and reclaim our honor."
