"In that case, we of the Kamo family have no reason to object." The Kamo family representative quickly agreed to the resolution with a smile.
Now, only the representative of the Gojo family had yet to speak. Everyone gradually turned their eyes to the Gojo representative.
Sekiguchi Seiji's calmness, the Kamo family's nonchalance, Gakuganji's unwilling expression, Zenin Ogi's eyes filled with gloating... Each person's reaction was different, yet all of them created immense pressure for the Gojo family representative.
"We agree as well." The Gojo representative, who had been visibly worried and hesitant, finally nodded with a helpless expression.
Since everyone else agreed, even if they opposed it, it wouldn't make a difference.
Though they didn't know exactly what Satoshi was planning, since he had proposed it himself, they could only choose to believe in the future heir of the Gojo family.
Leave everything to him.
...
The next day.
Without a doubt, Gojo Satoshi was trending once again.
The proposal finally approved by the Jujutsu Inspectorate sent shockwaves throughout the entire Jujutsu world.
"Breaking news! The first person in history to attend the conference as a third-party representative!"
"He's going to face the two aces from both technical colleges during the goodwill event!"
"Who will seize the crown of victory at this goodwill event?"
Yagyū Hidetsugu shook his head and ignored all the hype.
But he knew very well that from now until the goodwill event began, there would be no restful nights.
The Jujutsu world buzzed with speculation.
In the end, would Satoshi's arrogance make him a nightmare again, or reduce him to a laughingstock?
No one would know until the goodwill event began.
...
At Jujutsu High, Yaga Masamichi's office was unusually crowded.
"Teacher Yaga, why did our school submit this proposal? What exactly is Satoshi trying to do?" Even Satoru looked uneasy.
The others' expressions weren't much better.
Yaga hesitated for a moment before finally saying, "Satoru, I only found out recently. It was directly submitted by your brother, with support from Principal Sekiguchi."
"So it was Satoshi himself who wants to challenge both technical colleges?" Suguru asked, frowning.
"I asked Principal Sekiguchi. He only gave me one response, 'Even if we have to cooperate with Kyoto Jujutsu Technical College, we must defeat Gojo Satoshi.'" Yaga stated plainly.
There was no doubt about it—this was the beginning of another battle.
The goodwill event was a symbol of the schools' decades of heritage. If they lost to Gojo Satoshi, it would be an utter disgrace.
"No need for Kyoto's help. The three of us are enough to take down Satoshi!" Satoru said confidently.
"That'll be difficult." Suguru's reply drew surprised looks from the others, so he added, "But you can."
Everyone turned to look at Shoko.
"...I'll do my best." Shoko said helplessly.
...
Meanwhile, at the hotel café where Kyoto Jujutsu Technical College was staying.
Yuki leaned back in his chair, sipping an iced coffee, looking like he was waiting for someone.
Utahime and Mei Mei looked listless, like frostbitten eggplants.
"Yuki-sensei, do we really have to go against Satoshi?" Utahime looked completely defeated.
Going from being Gojo Satoshi's teammate to being his opponent... it felt like falling from heaven to hell.
"Well, the Jujutsu Inspectorate didn't pass his proposal, and the old man opposed it too." Yuki said with a grin. "But don't worry. You'll get a reliable teammate soon."
"Who?" Mei Mei asked, clearly curious.
"Should be someone from the Kamo family." Yuki stared at the ceiling for a bit, then took another sip of his drink and smiled.
"You mean the third-year student, Kamo?" Utahime sounded surprised.
"Then maybe we still have a shot," Mei Mei said thoughtfully.
"Yeah, after all, he was once the Kamo family's pride." Utahime added.
"They valued him a lot back then," Yuki nodded. "But unfortunately, Kamo Kenshin didn't awaken the Blood Manipulation Technique that's passed down in the family. His younger brother, Kamo Noritoshi, was born with it and is now the treasure of the clan."
"It's said that Noritoshi is the son of a concubine?" Mei Mei whispered.
Utahime was surprised. "Didn't the Kamo family claim he's their legitimate heir?"
"Why are you two so fixated on trivial gossip? Don't bring up Noritoshi's background in front of their people later, got it?" Yuki rolled his eyes at them and frowned.
The girls stuck out their tongues. "We know, we know. Just curious. We won't say a word, Yuki-sensei."
...
Not long after, the girls spotted Gakuganji approaching.
Trailing behind him was a young man in a black uniform from the technical college. He had long black hair and a polite smile, exuding a gentle aura.
No doubt about it. It was Kamo Kenshin, who had been out on missions for a long time and had achieved a great deal. He was also the closest student in Kyoto High to reaching Special Grade.
The waiter quickly led them to their seats.
"Hello, everyone." Kamo Kenshin greeted them softly.
"Kamo-senpai, nice to meet you. We're counting on you for the goodwill event." The girls greeted him seriously.
"Haha, I've seen their profiles. They're all geniuses too." Kenshin replied humbly.
"Alright. In the next few days, we'll work on our team coordination. After that, we'll team up with Tokyo Technical College to take out Satoshi first, then defeat their entire team and win!" Utahime said with a smile.
Gakuganji seemed quite satisfied with the team's atmosphere.
Then he turned to Yuki and spoke with a strange expression, "I've brought your last student. Train them well. No more fooling around..."
