Callix Linton heard from Auntie Li that Lily Turner wasn't with Easton Holmes but was making a phone call alone in the corridor.
He had sensed something was off between them earlier, which was why he had found a way to get both of them out of his way in turn.
However, the information he received was not what he had expected. Worried, he came out to check on the situation without thinking, only to overhear what Lily was saying.
"Grandpa! Weren't you watching TV in the living room? Why did you come over here?" Lily Turner instinctively put the phone in her jacket pocket as she spoke, quickly pushing her conversation with Freya Yeager out of her mind, focusing instead on the elder beside her.
"I was thirsty, so I came to the kitchen to get some water."
Callix Linton pointed towards the kitchen, pretending he really was thirsty and headed there to drink some water.
