Laughter filled the room as Walter and Noah doubled over, holding their stomachs. William stood in the center, arms tied with ribbons, dressed head to toe in a frilly maid outfit with a lacy headband and white stockings. His face was red with rage.
"You two are dead!" William shouted, struggling against the loose knots.
Right then, the door burst open. Charles and Everett rushed in, worried by the earlier scream. Their concern lasted only a second until they saw William.
Silence.
And then—
Both of them burst into uncontrollable laughter, tears streaming down their cheeks. "W-William… you—" Everett tried to speak but couldn't through his cackling. Charles fell against the wall for support.
"STOP LAUGHING!" William yelled.
Wiping his eyes, Charles said, "You do look like a girl!"
Noah, still chuckling, added playfully, "If I didn't know better, I'd ask to marry you."
"Uncle!" William shouted, face burning. "Stop it!"
