Jonathan walked into the clinic and saw Aclaric sitting in the chair with his arm bandaged. He looked worried.
"Is it really bad?" Jonathan asked, his voice a little shaky.
Aclaric glanced at him with a calm expression. "Not that bad. Don't worry."
There was a pause. Then Jonathan hesitated before asking, "Can I… meet William?"
Aclaric slowly stood from the chair, shaking his head. "No, not right now."
Jonathan looked down, disappointed.
"But you'll meet him," Aclaric added softly. "I promise."
Jonathan nodded faintly. "Okay."
"Go to your room and rest," Aclaric said gently.
Jonathan obeyed and left. He entered his room and dropped onto the sofa, letting out a sigh. His thoughts swirled.
"I'm bored here…" he thought to himself.
He stood up and wandered to the table where a stack of books had been left to pass the time. Picking one at random, he went back to the sofa and started reading.
