Edward entered the nursery quietly. Inside, the two babies lay peacefully in their little cribs, their tiny chests rising and falling in a gentle rhythm. The silence was comforting—until Jonathan, one of the twins, suddenly began to cry.
Startled, Edward rushed over and carefully picked him up.
"Oh no, don't cry… what happened?" he whispered anxiously, rocking the baby in his arms. But the more he moved, the more uncomfortable the baby seemed to become.
Just then, the maid entered the room. Seeing the struggle, she gently took Jonathan from Edward and smiled.
"The way you were holding him was a little uncomfortable for him, Lord Edward," she said kindly. "See? He's calm now."
Edward looked a bit embarrassed. The maid chuckled and added, "Would you like to try again? I'll help."
