Edward stood up abruptly. "I don't care! Let people laugh at me! I'll walk around like this if I have to!"
The butler looked alarmed. "My lord… are you sure?"
Edward clenched his fists. "Yes! I'm going to find whoever did this to me—no matter what!"
With dramatic flair, he turned toward the mirror again, glaring at his reflection.
"They messed with the wrong noble," he declared. "This is war."
At the dining table, laughter echoed through the room.
Edward sat stiffly with an expressionless face, his jaw clenched and his arms crossed. The ridiculous cat drawing still faintly visible on his cheek only made things worse.
Across from him, Noah was laughing uncontrollably, practically falling off his chair.
Cealum was chuckling deeply, wiping tears from the corner of his eyes. Even Cassandra, though trying her best to hold it in, had her cheeks flushed red and her lips trembling with suppressed laughter.
